Was looking for a cheap heavy duty phone as I just dropped my 12 mini from that amaysim deal..
Went down the aliexpress rabbit hole and found this.
This seems interesting based on its specs.
90hz, HD+ display with a large display,
Rugged, 50MP camera, waterproof,
For 250ish for a rugged phone with decent specs, I’m giving it a shot.

  • What is Android version it’s running and up to what version it can be upgraded

    • According to the listing it’s android 13, so hopefully there’s some support in the future

      • Thanks

  • Your best buy might be a rugged phone case for your next iPhone. Most of Android phones from unknown brands have VERY bad cameras.

    • I rarely take photos , so for me personally it’s not much of an issue.
But I can see why for some it can be a breaking point

      • Nokia also make a rugged phone XR21 as do Samsung with a user replaces battery (X Pro 6 I think its called) not at this price point though, Nokia have a user fixable phone, the G42. Alas we can't access the Fairphone 5 here in Aus which is user repairable and has 10 years of updates

        • user fixable phone, the G42

          Battery Type : Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable

Funny how their low-end android GO … C-series have pop out back cover like year 2000s / 2010s , but not on "user fixable phone"

Don't forget to come back here and tell us how slow and shitty is this phone LOL

Wow was just reading a few of the reviews, thanks for that. Yikes. Will be interesting to see what Hungrytamerjack thinks once he gets it. Unless he is an employee and just trying to push the product LOL (based on a gut feeling of him/her being "Member Since 1 hour 32 min ago")

      • I am not associated with the brand , just thought it was interesting and a good deal..
all brands start off small, and for a cheap phone I don’t mind much , I wouldn’t put my banking details on it, but other stuff would be ok

        • all brands start off small

And all new brands throw faulty devices in the market.
Are we sure you go for it or just?

    • This would just be for basic reddit and ozb scrolling , and a few basic things like that, no games etc

  • Maybe Energizer will start selling in here. I wouldn’t trust that AGM. I am afraid that that Android 13 is fake as their IP rating.

    • I’ve only see that meme massive brick sized phone

  • There is no way id have anything to do with this company based on reviews.

You don't care about camera and only use for light browsing? There are many sub $200 options available with better reputation, functionally and useability. Simply pair it with a rugged case.

We still use OzBargain based on reviews 😂

non-lhr having a sook about my deals is hilarious.

  • Sounds like it will be OK for your use-case. I've had some good experiences with cheap Chinese rugged phones. But yeah, don't bank on any updates if that's your thing. For less than the price of a night out though, deal.

  • Could also have a starange use case as in the specs is says "Built in radiator no". Maybe has to be charged with those special chargers we all like :-)
