What Starbuy loves: "This historically relevant timepiece is a must for every collector. The polished finish on the bezel, pushers and the crown and the case and with a polished and matte bracelet. The Special edition backplate finishes the watch off perfectly."
According to JOMW review, they've simply shaved 1mm from each side of the case, with dial and bezel the same as the original. Therefore the wording Starbuy use is slightly wrong. It should read something like:
"The Lunar Pilot 96K111 chronograph features the same dial and bezel of the original Bulova chronograph, within a smaller 43.5mm silver-tone stainless steel case. The case thickness is also slimmer at 12.5mm and the lug width is 20mm with the lug to lug measurement of 50mm."
The metal bracelet is complemented with a leather band. Both have quick-release pins to easily change the look.
I'll just add two things:
1. The full-size version of this watch — too big for most people — has been posted for under $400 previously. This is as cheap as the mini has been posted here. Supply & demand I suppose?
2. Interesting choice of make & model to discount, given certain other retailers don't stock this watch.
