Completely two different watches and are for different occasions.
I have the PRX Powermatic and I don't mind it at all. But I don't have a black watch so this would be great for the collection.
Agree with you on it being a different watch and purpose. I've actually got both of these watches (though just the Presage cocktail), only thing making me comment is the RRP of $1650 is only because of the limited edition.
If I was in market for a watch and don't currently own either the PRX powermatic or the Seiko Presage and have $1k to spend, I would pick the PRX.
Not sure why/who the neg though but whatever.
Limited edition and the higher spec adds value but the RRP is a bit over the top. Then again and no different to most Seikos that you can get on sale for 40% off.
Personally I think the presage cocktail times would be plenty for most people and have stunning dials. Can't say I I'm instantly drawn to this colour combo.
@G-rig: Yeah that's what I think as well. Paying alot for the limited edition badge. Do love my Seitona and got a good price in Singspore.
But agree with you. This colour combo is not for me either.
@starburstyellow: Yeah black and gold is pretty strange, especially on a nighttime dress watch.
Jody from jomw got a really nice Seiko (presage) SARY183 JDM that looks really nice, a bit like the Irish coffee but better, I'd prefer that.
Moreso its a bit risky spending more that $1k on a Seiko with their quality control.

Was going to say pretty expensive for a different colourway but has a 6R in it at least, and sapphire crystal (which the normal presage should have anyway for $750 RRP.
Any owners of this that can comment on the leather strap? Looks quite stiff and like it would need a decent break in period.
