Credit lasts for a year, so a cheap way to get a sim for a year

    • But if forget to turn off data that will be gone in sec

    • We have a few sims like that but I actually don’t pay anything. Occasionally 10-20 cents for the month as a sms to keep it active.

Optus was even better - had multiple data share sims for free, still going

  • Their PAYG plan is $10 right? whats the differences?

You get $40 credit for $18 I'm assuming

This paired with the boost/cashrewards deal as dual sim setup should go alright.

buy a $4 lebara from woolworths in the months where there are no Boost deals

  • Probably cheaper waiting for the $10 for $30 value. It happens every now and then at Coles/Woolworths.

  • silly question but can I use this to transfer an existing (non amaysim) number or do I also need something like the $10 As you Go plan first?

    • Of course you can port to this & as mentioned in the description it can be activated on the PAYG plan for $40 credit.

  • deadline to activate?

  • That's 5.55 hours calls or 333 sms's worth on the PAYG. If you used that as your main number you'd have to be pretty frugal to have it last a year. No 5G, but Esim is available.

Is that better than the Woolies $170 for 125Gb plan that gives 10% off a month from your Woolies shop? Spend $142 a month in one grocery shop to cover the cost of that (or $131 if you get the Cashrewards). Even a single person could probably do that.

You could use any cheap deals (like the Boost ones) as a second sim (if your phone can) for data or calls that don't need to be from your main number or that could be long wait queues.

  • Can you transfer from a physical to an esim easily enough?

  • is this no longer available? deal says ends 10 Oct but cant see it online

      cant see it online
