First post, go easy please.

Been looking for a deal for this one for a while, as I am lazy. Other competitors lists it around $247. Not sure if its a price match or not, couldn't find who it would be if so.

  • Might be in response to Makita Roadshow that happens over the next three days at Sydney Tools (buy up to a certain amount, get store credit).

I’ve been deep diving into sprayers, for the purpose of administering herbicides. I’m a fan of Makita but this one might be lacking in flow rate to do any big work in the garden.

  • I’d looked at this too, but told myself I could just pump something up and save $220
    0.45L a min isn’t much, but I guess if spraying a fine mist/spray, it ain’t a pressure washer

  • I had one of these, ended up returning.

After about 3 uses it stopped coming up to pressure intermittently.

Ended up ordering a cheapo from Amazon that works better.

    Just my experience.

Which one from Amazon did you get?

      • Electric Plant Sprayer, 16ft Battery Powered Sprayer with USB Rechargeable Handle, Potable Garden Sprayer with Telescopic Wand, Sprayer Plant for Yard Lawn Weeds Plants (Sprayer) https://amzn.asia/d/f8Cl5SH

This is the one I like best. No worries about pressure and use any container you like.

Yeah, we have had 2x of this Makita for different work projects now - both failed for different reasons, 1x was pressure the other was just a completely dead unit. (Replaced under warranty, refunded the 2nd one). Also the nozzles are not particularly standard if you have issues with them down the track/out of warranty. The Silvan battery powered one is also average, have heard a few people mention the AEG goes well - YMMV.

Personally for work we have had better success with the Silvan Prograde Manual Sprayers. These have stood up to Industrial/commercial use, and I reckon 90% of parts are user serviceable, and generally available at the big red hammer shop.

    • +1 for Silvan
I've bought the one below 5 years ago (Nov 2018). Got it from another site which I can't find (invoice shows 'farm and rural merchandise company'). Used it a couple days ago to spray 3 loads. Probably use maybe 10-12 loads per year through spring.
Just be sure to rinse thoroughly after use.

      .

    • Can also recommend the Silvan Prograde. Nice reliable units.

  • At this price point you may as well get a Solo 414.

The 414 is reliable, comes with a battery, and parts are easy to come by.

    • Legend, thanks!
