Thanks, i found it on Ozbargain.

    • Totally agree. The last time Coles offered an 8c discount, petrol went up 10c and stayed there.

    • At least you've got 28 days to use it…

      • yeah, but i doubt the price will go back down until the coupons expire…

anyway, I'm not negging it because if you don't take up the vouchers, you are just subsidising those that do because of the higher fuel cost you pay…

        • Nope, in Melbourne the last few cycles have been about 2 weeks long - http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/860637

Sure, when it goes up, it goes up pretty high, but if you time it right you can save 15-20 cents from peak, combine with the 4+11c offer here and you can save quite a bit.

  • hey tightarse, long time…

      15 sunts…

  • So would this work? Skimming the deal …

    1. Buy $100 Wish gift card at Woolworths.
    2. Get 15 cent discount
    3. Use Wish gift card to pay for discounted petrol, plus the left overs for grocery shopping (or subsequent petrol purchases)

      FAIL

"Purchases of Gift Cards (including iTunes cards) do not contribute to the qualifying amount."

      • thanks

        • there's never a loophole… :S

      You're doing it wrong, too.
      1. Buy $100 Wish gift card for $95 (NOT from Woolworths, look it up on OzBargain…)
      2. Combine with 15c discount and additional 5% from the Wish card purchase (worth about 6c-7c/litre)
      3. Use Wish card to pay for petrol and get a total of 21c-22c per litre discount!

      • my local woolworths had spend $200 or more and get 15c off petrol a few weeks back… I did this exact same thing.

except I buy $1000 worth of wish cards for 950.

      • -> Russ

Nah, it was modified for my circumstances plus I'd missed the gift card exception

        1. I can get the gift cards for about $93.40
        2. I don't have $100 of groceries that I'd want to get from Woolworths (so I wondered about buying a gift card)

If I buy $100 of groceries from Woolworths, I suspect I'm behind by more than the discount.

(Local grocer is selling apples and pears for about $1.99 a kilo, potatoes and sweet potoates for $1.49 a kilo, etc)

        • Where do you get your gift cards?

        • I forgot to say, not all Caltex servos will accept Wish gift cards as payment. The ones with a Woolworths logo on their sign WILL accept the card - perhaps because they sell them?

  • bummer. just came back from the woolies after spending $80.

lol, should've split your goods into 2 separate transactions to get 2x 4cents off petrol

      • I have seen people split their entire grocery shop into $30 lots so they get multiple vouchers.

Didn't even know about this. But I bought 4x $36 MyBus 3 Traveltens today at Woolworths next to Town Hall and I got the 15c.

    • It's always a great way to make the Everyday Rewards targets as well, topping up on TravelTens (if you're in the Sydney CBD anyway).

  • aldi and coles are eating woolie's market shares. Their goods are not that cheap in comparison.

  • Usually I find a trolley with a receipt for voucher and buy from Aldi or Coles next door
