Comments seems to indicate no Mac support btw

    • I have this cam and use it with a mac (m1) for work and haven’t had any probs with it

    • It works fine for Mac, I've been using it for a couple of years. Razer's software doesn't work, but you don't need it, macOS treats it as a generic camera. However, the lack of software means some of its advanced features won't work.

These days you'd use the Continuity Camera feature with your iPhone, which Apple currently have fully locked to their ecosystem.

Android phones are tipped to get a similar feature in Android 14 via USB-C, but expect that to have limited Mac support.

Not sure it's going to be worth getting a webcam below the $250 mark from now on for most people (ie. something with the lens and DoF - or comparable quality - of a DSLR or mirrorless camera), hence why this is at an ATL.

    • No software, but the mac picks it up fine. Ideally you presetup stuff like hdr on a pc then forget about it

  • Would this be good for web chats/Whatsapp , Google chats for family using a 65 LCD or oledTV?

    • The whole point of this thing :D

  • Logitech Brio 4K is better, right? So no need to grab this?

    • +4

If you have the Brio already, much of a muchness.

Got the Kiyo Pro myself. It is a good but not exceptional webcam - nothing too exciting. Great for teams and video calling, very good at compensating for poor light conditions - I've got reflections off water on one side of my head, a dark wall next to me and bouncing reflections off polished wood behind me. Provided I turn on overhead lights, it does a reasonable job of cleaning the image up, where my older and crappier web cam used to do an excellent two face on me.

At this price, streets ahead of the 922, but even then I wouldn't bother upgrading if I had a 922 unless I was facing serious contrast problems.

  • What's better for teams/zoom/Whatsapp calls, this or Logitech C922 Pro Stream?

    • +1

At this price, the Kiyo Pro.

  • I have this. Works very well.

  • don't get confused this is not the 4k model. I was confused when seeing RRP price.

    • It does 1080P60, which is good for streaming if your app supports it

  • Supports Windows Hello?

  • +1

    This or the Logitech steamcam?

    • +2

      Good comparison here.

    • +1

Streamcam is poor in low light conditions.

  • -3

    Good for onlyfans account?

    • You'd probably want a mirrorless camera. This would be fine if you're streaming.

Best of luck, hope you find your niche.

Despite the massive looking lens body, the actual lens is just the dot in the centre, surrounded by a large plastic shell.

Much prefer Logitech's low profile design.

  • Does anyone have this and the Logitech Brio 4K who can compare?

  • amazon is pricematching centre com

  • Any one got sound issues with this?

  • It’s coming up as $153?

    • Report > expired

    • That is used one
