  • Thanks op!

    • welcome!

  • I'm on boost mobile 365 days plan now. Do I have to port it out first to another provider and then port back into Boost?

    • That's correct.
      Thanks

  • +1

What's the cheapest way to port out to another provider?

    • just look out in Coles or woollies and buy the cheapest available.
      Thanks

    • $2 Lebara. Supports eSIM.

      • When you buy the $2 Sim. Don't you have to take out a plan for a successful porting?

        • Nah, it's only PAYG

    • I thought we could chat with support and get the new SIM ported to an existing account. Have they stopped doing this?

      • Yes, I did this 2 weeks ago and they told me that will be the last time they will transfer your number to the new sim card.
Easier to just port out and in again next time.

how long do you needed to be ported away for?

How long do I need to port out for?

    • 1 minute should suffice

  • Hi OP, can do you have website I can buy directly from ? ( I don't use eBay)..

  • +1

Any larger deals, I expire tomorrow:(

  • These clowns have "make an offer" stuff in ebay.
I put in several offers in a $275 sim, even the one for $273 was rejected.

Seller has a positive feedback score of 90.3%

      • Most of the negs are for selling fake JBL audio products from a quick squizz.

Out of stock on the sim now anyway (but I wouldn't have bought from them).

Not really a deal when you can get the same product for cheaper price as shared by fcad from eBay.

If you want Telstra / 5G / International calls, this is solid.
But the data is a little low
    Its cheaper mentioned here;

If you dont care about 5g/intenational
Woolworths mobile is a better choice for the 10% off once a month, especially if you have the means to bulk buy expensive stuff already on sale, ie laundry/kitchen/hygiene/cosmetics

Then just shop aldi the other 10-20 times a month, LMAO.

    • What about rural reception? is Woolworths better in that regards?

      • They're both telstra

        • Boost gets full Telstra. Ww Telstra wholesale, considerable difference in coverage for us regional folk

          • -2

@Beetleeater: Capped 150mbps is not full telstra IMO.

            • +1

@paulzhang: They're talking reception - not bandwidth, caps, included minutes etc.

Have both ww mobile and boost, ww is way worse.

        • Thanks for all the feedback. I will remain with Boost. Their prices has been going up every year.

  • Just confirming I can buy this now and activate it next year April with no issues?

    • Hi,
The expiry date of the sim is 04-01-2025. The sim can be activated till 2025 but the bonus data may vary. The standard data is 160GB.
      Thanks

  • The code is not working for me, so it's $197… any idea why? Has it expired?

    • Hi,
      It is still working.
      Its not expired yet.
      Thanks

      • Ach. Not sure why it's not working for me :(

  • Snagged one of these last night. Already got a 365day boost Sim that ends in 4 days (parents-inlaw), but this is not a recharge voucher. Have my boost app on my phone showing 4 days left. Not a simslut so this port hopping stuff is all new. I would like to try and keep my mobile number. Now I understand with this purchased boost starter kit there is a workaround to end up with what is effectively a recharged boost Sim. I have to port in my mobile number from another provider(after porting out from my current boost Sim). So I will need to grab a $2 starter Sim from another provider and port my number into this 3rd party sim first. Then I have to contact Boost support to port my old number (now on a 3rd party Sim) into the boost starter kit I have just purchased.
Is there a preferred 3rd party $2 Sim I should use? (need to exclude $2 boost Sim?) Are some sim providers easier and quicker to port into than others or are they all much the same.
Is the fact that my current 365day boost Sim will expire in 3 days and starter kit may not arrive before this going to change things? (I will have no outgoing service on this Sim when I port out).
Practically how long does the porting process from Sim1(boost)—>Sim2(3rd party)—>Sim3(boost) likely to take.
The eBay supplier has quite a good writeup under item description about the importance of having same name and DOB so porting has no problems. I gather because I am an existing Boost customer (ie have a Boost ID) is the reason I can't activate the newly purchased Starter kit online and port in old number but have to go back thru Boost support? Just trying to predict problems so can move thru this workaround. I gather in the past that speaking nicely to Boost support would work and that they would manually apply a recharge, but this no longer is the case?
    Thanks for help/advice.
