  • OP are there the usual restrictions such as Apple products?

    • +4

don't even need to look to know all the usual suspects will be excluded

    • Looks like it's restricted to whats listed which seems like it excludes apple.

    • I couldn't find any terms and conditions but when you look at individual product pages (e.g. iPhone) the usual exclusions apply.

Awesome was gonna buy stuff on the weekend, glad i waited

  • hold for Black Friday/Prime Day?

  • Any chance can have this discount in-store?

      • Email says online only or via phone

        • Yup you’re right, apologies, I overlooked on another ad that was running at the same time too

  • Bought some whitegoods from them on the weekend, but I read that their 30 day price guarantee is now a Gold Service extra. Anyone have recent experience in how you go getting store credit?

    • +2

Called the store just now. They are happy to refund the difference via direct refund or gift card.

      • +2

I rang them and they said no, I needed to buy the Gold Service extra which I didn't get :'(

    • I called them and they said no because I need to have the Gold service extra 😭

  • If you price match with them, can you still get the 15% discount?

    • +1

nope, there is no coupon code box on the price match cart link

      • Thank you for the swift reply, noted.

    • Technically Yes, you can price match in store - and at payment terminal just tap ultimate GC from your phone like eftpos payment.

      • I gave them a ring and yeah they said technically they can price match although weirdly enough the sale doesn't apply in store necessairly. It'd be weird if they wouldn't price match themselves. Do you just use the ultimate cards separately until it goes through? not sure if it's necessary to cover these to TGG gift cards

        • Yes it would like splitting a payment across multiple credit cards. We made a purchase earlier in the week with 3 cards and we didn’t even tell them it’s ultimate

          • @randomdude14: Yup cool. I was thinking since the offer ends tomorrow to get an air conditioner. If they refuse to price match tomorrow then I might just quickly ask to pay some TGG custom gift cards and then pay online with the coupon. As long as it doesn't show up as ultimate card then splitting it should work.

            • @Batruto: For AC, consider installer pricing too. Sometimes our best deal retail is their everyday prices for some brands/models

              • @randomdude14: Yeah I asked for a rough quote but they needed an inspection. Apparently you can also pay the installer fees using gift cards too so I got a few extra just now lmao. Kinda want to get a few more but scared they'll block my card

  • Dyson vacuum cleaner is excluded:(

  • Has anyone tried stacking with the Ultimate Gift Card deal?

    • Yes it works, also stacked with the $20 coupon code i got a few days ago from veing a gold service member.

      • Cheers

      • can you explain how to use Ultimate Gift card on Good Guys website?

        • Ultimate VISA

        • +2

The gift card is a prepaid Visa card so you can use it as you would a debit or credit card for the participating store

  • Xbox Wireless Controller $67 Black/White

    Other colours $72

    Not bad.

    Dualsense excluded unfortunately.

    • +2

Xbox controller actually becomes $56.95 after the code

      • Ah, thought that it was already applied. Might see what the Dualsense comes to then.

  • +1

Breville express impress not included -_-

  • Anyone suggest a good rangehood?

    • What type?

      • Canopy rangehood

        • Silent/external motor or built in?

          • @OldBugger: I was looking at external ones but are they really worth 3 times more than internal ones?

            • @carlJack: Yeah that's the thing. I looked into external but ran out of time. All the ones were online. I installed a Bosch but it's obviously noisy being built in

  • Skimmed through the laptops section, prices aren't competitive and they're trying to get rid of 11th gen era potatoes.

    Not surprising.

  • Bought a Hisense 503L Bottom Mount Refrigerator two weeks ago, and now it is 15% off !

  • Is it possible to use multiple ultimate gift cards? (transactions over $500)

    • yes you can.
you can only use one card on-line, and unlimited number of cards in store

  • Damn, waited until after work to sort out the fridge size and now the gift card discounts are gone :(

Feels like there's some good prices for Queenslanders with the 4 star rebate - https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/chiq-410l-top-mount-refrigera…

After rebate that'd be about $310. For a 410L 4 star fridge that's pretty good. No idea how the Qld rebate thing works though.

  • Phew, my TV I bought from JB with the gift card deal isn't eligible for the 15%. Was gonna spew.

  • Thanks, bought the Sony XM5s!
They haven't been on sale since forever..

  • swapped ultimate cards for good guys card today in store

Now I decide to make my purchase to take advantage of the 15% promo, and they won't accept any gift cards now! just before the promo ends

Sorry, we are unable to process your gift card at the moment. Please try again later or visit your nearest store to complete your transaction.

    horrible website they got

    • Wait what. So on their own website…you tried putting multiple gift cards and they wouldn't accept? That was my plan from the beginning. I got really lucky. A good lad helped me out and punched in the price-matched number into the system for air con in hopes it wouldn't get rejected by the system despite knowing they technically can't price match it. Managed to split payments and pay in store with ultimate.

      • wasn't even letting me redeem "The good guys gift card" online, their website was conveniently broken to accept gift cards during their 15% promo

I called the next day, after hearing my gripe the lady on phone took my order for same 15% sale price + could use all my gift cards online with her help(can only be done from backend, not on website)

still not at all happy with their service so far, will shop elsewhere going forward

        • Dam that's good. So they ended up honouring the 15% promo the day after and then applied the gift card amount on the backend? That's very good at least the cards didn't go to waste. So I'm guessing their gift cards still don't work reliably on the site. I got very lucky to be assigned to a staff in-store who punched the numbers into the system without rejection.

          • @Batruto: that's right! they honoured the 15% off the day after lol, glad I didn't get stuck with 3k worth of TGG gift cards

yea, their website is horrendous! I work in tech, they need to completely overhaul their website, at minimum just switch over to Shopify or something

            • @[Deactivated]: Brutal haha. At least they live up to their "good guys" motto. I'd been pissed if I got stuck with 3k worth of TGG gift cards. Got myself an Air-Con so was a risky 1k worth. I imagined you bought yourself some fancy appliances as well. Great deal though effectively 30% off
