It’s the third leading cause of death in Australia this year (the first time an infectious disease has been in the top 5 for decades).

You’re welcome to your own choice on vaccines but negating it’s seriousness by saying it’s ‘supposed’ is just being a (profanity).

Your second time was similar sounding to my first time (which was 12 months after getting vaccinated). Had a fever for a few hours on a Saturday evening, then again for an hour or two on Sunday morning and then completely fine.

Got a mildly sore throat about 4 days later but wouldn't have thought much of it.

      Honestly I've had worse colds.

    • "my individual statistics of 1 therefore is statistically significant enough to me to represent the 9 billion people in society of different genetics, body types, hormone and immunocompromised levels, therefore my conclusion is that this was all a sham"

I have asked this question before and I am asking you again, before you chicken out like you always do.

      anti vaxxers

Who are these anti vaxxers you always keep talking about, I didn’t see any real movement of people ever stopping me or anyone here from taking the jab.
I saw a lot of pro choice types but who are these anti vaxxers??

I guess you disingenuous libs spin words like you always do when it suits you,
      Killing bab**s = Pro choice
But not wanting to take the jab = AntiVax

      WoW

      • +6

Who are these anti vaxxers you always keep talking about,

There are no anti-vaxxers, only ex-vaxxers.

      • -2

What the hell are you on about? (multiple times) No really

        Google what an anti-vaxxer is.

        Libs spin? Hahhahaa

As for the popup window about women having rights over their own bodies, as opposed to breeding en masse on an overpopulated dying planet (dying as a result of greed and religious stupidity) I have no problem with it.It's their decison. Unlike christian politicians who go to war or send us to war, being 'heroes' and leaders. (Hastie ring a bell)

'Not wanting to take the jab is different to conflating lies and conspiracies while placing the vulnerable in harms way, because you can.
I don't chicken out, I just block loons or disengage.

as opposed to breeding en masse on an overpopulated dying planet (dying as a result of greed and religious stupidity)

Corporations rule the world. Governments do their bidding. Putting the onus on us "greedy" consumers for buying their goods & reproducing for the state of the world. Lol. What a number they've done on humanity. Poison it on the one hand, condition the people, hoover up the wealth, & then provide solutions for crises they create that will benefit them. Who helps them accomplish their aims? People with your worldview of course! They couldn't do it without you!

@mrdean: LOL, shooting the messenger, or what. You argue about personal responsibility, then argue the opposite view in the next breath.
Hopefully those WFH, or conspiracy nutters (oh wait Trump is God and leading the NWO)
will save the planet ( hahahahaha)

The state of the planet is driven by apathy, greed and stupidity. No-one in the west is walking away from collecting stuff, bragging on social media or giving a shit about nature.
It's all apathy soup, someone else can do it, and maybe tomorrow.Or worse, what problem.

                  • @mrdean: Metamorphose is a better word, but like all agnostics he was probably just having a bob each way. Either way the spirit of his endeavour is admirable.

In whose interests do you think it would be for the majority of the worlds population to have a materialist worldview? That there is no spirit, no consequence for actions or thoughts or deeds?

Alright kid, I know what the word means. It’s someone that’s against or opposed to the vaccines. Maybe you need to go look it up for yourself.
Calling someone who chose not to take the Covid Vaccine an Anti Vaxxer is like calling a woman who’s had an abortion - Anti Babies. 🤦🏻‍♂️

          Libs spin

You are still doing it btw

As for the popup window about women having rights over their own bodies

We all have the rights to our own bodies (except for some mandates that happened not soo long ago, that I bet you personally were rooting for).
What we shouldn’t have, is the right to end someone else’s life. In 99% of cases, mother’s responsible for that inception and hence it would now be murder to end that life.
P.S. - I am in the favour of keeping abortions legal but not the late term/full term ones though but I am sure you would disagree with me on that too.

I have no problem with it.It's their decison

Someone didn’t take jab, Your reaction : You selfish, crazy loon etc etc. You might make me sick too even though I am fully vaccinated. 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

Someone literally ends another life, Your reaction : I have no problem with it, it’s their decision.

          You are a joke mate.

Unlike christian politicians who go to war or send us to war, being 'heroes' and leaders.

What? You talking about the Iraq war? The one which both major US political parties planned and plotted to conspire towards?
Or are you talking about the current war? In which again, both parties are still currently planning and plotting to conspire towards?

Let’s talk about the demographics though, almost 2/3 of the conservative types are against the US involvement in Ukraine and I wouldn’t be surprised if the majority of Democratic voters are against it too..
Have some integrity, all politicians are complicit towards allowing these wars. It’s not a ‘Christian politician’ thing.

Not wanting to take the jab is different to conflating lies and conspiracies while placing the vulnerable in harms way,

Wait a second, the vast and most predominant narrative was - that people don’t trust the establishment and the big pharma. Which btw 100% was the dominant liberal narrative just over a decade ago. How times have changed.

You talk about people ’conflating lies’ etc. Did we not see the side effects that came from the jab?
Now you can make a personal judgement whether you wanna take that risk or not but a lot of people didn’t want to.. There was some risk (maybe not much) to taking that - mostly untested vaccine that didn’t even prevent from people getting affected(which used to be the definition of vaccines btw) but it only mitigated some of its symptoms.

I don't chicken out, I just block loons or disengage.

lol, mate just accurately defined what chickening out looks like..

              @Typical16-bitEnjoyer: Can’t shut the F about it?

People lost their jobs, weren’t allowed to travel, genuine cases of people that were possibly allergic to the vaccine’s contents weren’t allowed an exemption because of the way they had that whole system set up and soo much more
When you do that, Ofcos some people are gonna lose their minds.

@Typical16-bitEnjoyer: After 3 years of hearing constant bullshit about jabs, then governments strong-arming everyone to get jabbed by kicking them out of jobs, even introducing emergency legislation saying they can force jab people in their homes with police escort (some states), you then tell people angry about having this bullshit shoved down their throats to "just shut the (profanity) up about it" already.

I was able to intercept an entire pallet of Pfizer's first vaccine shipment. 4000 doses at 2 shots per dose. I've got it stored in a chest freezer in my garage. I've been injecting myself every day, sometimes multiple times a day if I can stand it. The symptoms were terrible for the first few weeks. There were times I was completely paralyzed with pain, contorted like the Edvard Munch painting and frozen in agony for hours. I became stronger and some of the worst symptoms subsided over time.

I've been vaxmaxxing for almost 4 years now and I feel as though I'm becoming something greater than human now. I will continue to administer the injections into the same arm as long as possible. I'm increasing the dosages as much as I can stand and will maintain my journal.

    ETA:

It's nearing the end of 2023

How dare you, April was "just the other day" the last time I checked.

I too intercepted a cargo ship off the coast of Madagascar and "obtained" a frozen container load of Moderna.
I was twice daily injecting Moderna into my arm. The sickness was terrible for the first few months. The headaches. The pain. I was seeing things that were not there. I was tasting things that were not in the room.

After a few months I grew to like it.

On Day 233 it happened. My arm fell off. There was no cauterization required. It was like the skin healed itself. After 2 days my dismembered limb sat motionless. It did not decay. It was in otherwise perfect condition. I was unsure what to do.

It was a few days later I decided to inject Moderna into my dismembered arm. I would come later to regret this. It became reanimated. It started to grow. Only after a few days the arm had regenerated and grew an exact mirror image of myself from a single limb. It took mere weeks for me to teach my mirror image anomaly how to speak English and Russian. A month after that is was undertaking Mathematics equations that far surpassed my ability, and I have 2 PhDs. Its intelligence was amazing.

The anomaly disappeared. It stole the majority of my Moderna. That was about a year ago now. There have been sightings of gangs of identical individuals matching my description lurking in the shadows. Avoiding capture. By my calculations there are probably at least 60 mirror versions of myself out there. As far as I can see the media has strict instructions not to disclose anything. It's obviously being suppressed. I have no idea of the danger or the true nature or motive of my clones. But I remain afraid for the World.

All in all, I rate Moderna 10/10. Never got a serious case of Covid.

Random YouTube videos or forum posts are the true source of scientific knowledge. All dyor'ers know that.

      • In the case of cookers it's a cherry orchard. One tree with very sparse fruit it seems.

        • +5

It is pointless arguing with them. They aren’t interested in reality. The vaccine isn’t without some risk but the alternative is far more deadly. The vaccine has been injected into hundreds of millions if not billions of people. What we aren’t seeing is massive numbers of people killed by the vaccine. What we saw prior to vaccination was almost every country went into some sort of lockdown to control it. Those that didn’t were losing thousands per day. I’m not going to try to argue with the skeptics because you can’t deal with wilful ignorance. I, certainly, aren’t interested in viewing their random YouTube videos.

@try2bhelpful: I remember the horrific death toll in a few parts of Italy with bodies piled up in the streets, Including so many health workers and medicos) . Dead bodies jammed into trucks and sea containers. This happened all over the planet. But a few hours of social media has completely fried the brains of what I thought were intelligent ppl. To them this either never happened, or those lives never mattered.
I still say we need conscription to deal with the second wave (moronosis spectubalis ) pandemic of the cookers.

            • @Protractor: Nah, leave them be. The beauty of the people who refuse vaccinations is they act as the control group and it isn’t even unethical to let them suffer.

              @Protractor:

I remember the horrific death toll in a few parts of Italy with bodies piled up in the streets,

Interesting you mention Italy, since their gov revised their data in 2021 after their big "headline" waves, saying most of those "died of covid" actually "died with covid", with comorbidities. Some claim that despite pre-existing heart disease, they should still count as covid deaths. Why not indeed.

              • +4

@ssfps: And if they didn’t have Covid then the comorbidity probably wouldn’t have pushed them over the edge. If you are stabbed and bleed to death then the official verdict will be that your heart failed. The stabbing is the trigger but the reason the body cannot sustain life is because the heart can’t pump sufficient oxygenated blood around the body. If someone has a lung disease then getting Covid may well mean the lungs are no longer functional. Heart disease, the added strain triggers heart attacks. The massive increase in deaths was triggered by Covid. The statistical increase doesn’t lie.

@try2bhelpful: If you and that retard zeggie bothered to look at that video (a whole 11 minutes taken away from shitposting) you would see a demonstrated valid criticism (a disabled child who was a trial participant) of a published scientific article by Pfizer establishing vaccine safety in children. Deliberate scientific misconduct.

So put your money where your mouth is, stop parroting this bullshit about "it was overall good for children" and how about you point out:
                1) where in that video the "misinformation" is?
                2) why children needed to be jabbed at all when the vast majority of morbidity and mortality was among older people?

What you're actually experiencing here is denial because the implications of accepting scientific corruption would be traumatizing. You're using this "youtube is misinformation" knee jerk defense despite watching the news, reading the reddit headlines, and having these and similar information sources form the basis of your beliefs. People only claim that they "only read the science" when they're rationalize their beliefs, not forming them.

Posters like zeggie are not in this thread to discuss science. They are here for a very specific reason.

@ssfps: Oh yay yet another cooker YouTube video.

Why is it the anti vaxxers and cookers don't publish or review legitimate research? There must be some connection to be found there.

What's the point, when posters like yourself are not interested, or able to critically review, or even have an honest discussion around the "science"?

Anyway, here's the latest one being circulated on social media:

              1) that the "science" (corporate funded science) is trustworthy

I'm curious, what kind of science do you trust?

If you think propper science is cheap, you are naive.

              • +1

@Ughhh: Is your argument that because it's expensive and we don't have a practical alternative, we should ignore bias and corruption?

                • @ssfps: Was my question so difficult to understand and answer you had to make up crap?

                  • +2

@Ughhh: I answered your question implicitly.

I'll answer it literally: the term "kind of science" is basically meaningless. Science is science, and a large part of the point of the process is to remove the need to trust institutional dogma.

And i can even answer the question you probably meant to ask:
                    - Obviously I don't trust published results by biased companies with an agenda and proven history of misconduct.
                    - I don't trust published results that are used as a platform for sudden drastic political and economic change without due care and independent reproduction.
                    - I would be hesitant to trust results that can't be widely reproduced.

Is your response combative because I happened to answer the obvious intent of your post rather than the above which could easily be inferred from my earlier post?

Now i'm curious what your point was?

          • +2

            @try2bhelpful:

Nobody under 40 should have been 'encouraged' to have the vaccine at all though.

It was a huge mistake that harmed a lot of young people for no reason.

Covid induced brain damage https://www1.racgp.org.au/newsgp/clinical/research-suggests-…, might explain some of the responses on here.

I got 3 and then caught covid every 6 months up until now which meant I couldn't get anymore shots. I would have gotten more if I could have.

My last bout of covid I didn't even realise I had it though. I got a little sicker than I would with a common cold, eventually tested because my kids and MIL had conjunctivitis like symptoms that started from a cough and I'd read the new strain does that. Sure enough it was Covid. Fortunately we tend to isolate when we get sick regardless of what it is.

  • how stale 💤

I had 2, but after presenting at hospital for heart palpitations and meeting 2 other people who were there at the same time and had their 2nd shot about the same time as me, that was the final one for me, I'll take my chances with the spicy cough.

    • +3

Sorry to hear it. Did the doctors dismiss the temporal association with the jab & just assume either coincidence or underlying comorbidities or viral/bacterial infection as the cause?

      • +1

For me, personally, the doctors took chest pain very seriously. I was advised not to get 2nd vaccine until sorted out. Ultimately no indication of heart damage and given a generic diagnosis of exclusion for some non-cardiac cause. Non-cardiac so not eligible for exemption and forced to get second shot, go through it again. 🙃

      • +3

First I misread your comment and posted something i deleted, sorry. Interestingly at the time they didn't even want to discuss anything to do with covid or the vax with myself or anyone else there. I found it odd actually, I thought they might be interested in it but no, they just stuck to the tests they do and if all good, out you go.

        • +4

Not surprising. They are under pressure to not assign any problems to the jabs. If they do, there will be repercussions for them personally. I believe this is why so many have remained silent.

I hope you are over the worst of it & feel better now.

    • Roughly how long was the time between the shot and the palpitations occurring?

    • +1

That's the thing right, everyone says that could happen with any jab but I've never known anyone to go to hospital because of the flu shot yet I know multiple people who ended up on hospital after Covid shots. One after both AZ shots, ended up with a blood clot in his leg after the second. Another was having hallucinations. Another was having chest pains and heart palpitations, was actually taken to hospital by ambulance and nearly 2 years later they still aren't back to 100% health.

But no all very common side effects that could happen to anyone.

      • "I've never known anyone to go to hospital because of the flu shot "

That's a very vague data set, but hey have a read>

"Previous research shows half of U.S. adults hospitalized for the flu have heart disease, and the risk of having a first heart attack is six times greater following a flu infection. Studies show that risk can be substantially lowered by receiving the flu vaccine, but less than half of U.S. adults do so."

        https://www.heart.org/en/news/2022/11/07/some-flu-vaccine-re…

        https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/heart-disease…

"everyone says that could happen with any jab"
is closer to reality. What lies beneath matters

      • -1

I don’t know anyone who has had a severe adverse reaction to a Covid shot. AZ was sidelined and mainly replaced with Pfizer, Moderna and Novovax.

If you Google Flu shots you can get severe reactions to them. I don’t get life threatening effects but I do get a spectacular “slap” mark so my doctor is recommending a different vaccine.

Nobody is arguing that adverse reactions don’t occur, it is that the cost/benefit analysis argument stacks up.

  • +8

2 - as I was FORCED to get 2, If i was not forced by job (that too unpaid), I would have gotten ZERO.
Any more than 2, I aint getting it unless company wants to pay me for jab + any future risk that I may cause me I have a reaction, (not to forget sore arm for a while after jab too).
Every other person in family got 3 or 4 (just not me, I also got Moderna instead of Pfizer that others in family got just to be on safe side that if 1 vaccine maker was bad at least 1 person in family would be safe).

    • +7

I'm sorry for your being forced to take something you didn't want. If we had humans in most government positions this would never of been allowed.
Apologies to everyone else in this thread who were coerced.

Any tips on not being forced to use public bathrooms? I want to shit on the street like nature intended. I keep getting forced to use bathrooms by big government and big pharma. Cops keep issuing fines when I'm mid doody in the middle of Elizabeth Street.

Lucky ended up with one Pfyzer shot only and medical contraindication after side effects. Kept my job in Healthcare. Really bad mandatory experimental treatments with a forced coercion no consent
