Crazy good movie at a crazy good price for an import-only 4K.

I bought this when it was around $40 thinking it was the best deal I was going to get for one that wasn't released in Oz.

Counterintuitively, make sure you don't click the 4K button on the page. The $26.56 "Bluray" has a picture of the 4K cover and that's what should arrive. Though there's nothing really 'Collector's Edition' about this one except for the nice slip case.

      Not as badly as I remembered, might still be worth an upgrade from the blu:

      "Sadly, in spite of how incredibly amazing this object-based mix is, there is one area where it sorely drops the ball when compared to its DTS-HD Master Audio counterpart. And that is the bass … because it's all about that bass. To be fair, the low-end on this 3D track is plenty powerful at providing the visuals with some wall-rattling, couch-shaking oomph, particularly during the beach siege and the attack at the Louvre. However, the bigger disappointment comes at the opening sequence when the pulsating radio frequency, which made the Blu-ray a reference disc for the DIY bassheads because it drops down to 10Hz at loud decibels (bass chart), was suddenly missing on this UHD edition. Much like they did with War of the Worlds, a high-pass filter has been applied to the mix, maddeningly cutting off the low-end at 30Hz (bass chart) for the entirety of the movie. "

          Because laziness. Its really frustrating when they (profanity) up stuff like this, people buy audio gear to hear these sounds FFS.

          Good for me though, saves me from re-buying it

      Honestly not even that. I was hesitant to put that in the title, but was matching Amazon's title.

      There IS an ultimate edition with posters and a book and a steel case, but it sells for over $100. Unless they've changed this one since I bought it, it'll just be the movie (grounds for a refund probably, if you order an 'ultimate edition' but it's not.)

        Yes it seems to come in a Steelbook case. The only thing i hated with Steelbook is it can be easily dented in shipping. I once had a Steelbook case arrive where the corner of the case was bent at a 45 degree angle.

          So did yours come with a steelbook? I purchased this a couple of months back and it was just the standard version with a slipcase. This was from amazon uk via amazon au.

          That's such a bummer hey. I've been lucky with mine, I've got 20 or 30 steelbooks without any damage.

          And no, mine didn't come with the steelbook, and I assume this one won't either. I'd be ordering it again if it did for this price :p

    I ordered this a few months ago and received the normal 4K release and not the Ultimate Collectors Edition.

        Yes. I complained to Amazon and they gave me a $10 voucher and said that they don't actually have the Ultimate Collectors Edition.

    Just a heads up I complained to chat after receiving delivery and was able to receive a $10 credit and keep the item due to being not as described.

          Calling back and trying a different rep can work. Once they gave me a 40% refund in credit from a $200 850x corsair psu because one of the modular gpu cables became faulty. I just wanted the cable replaced or an exchange for a replacement psu unit with good cables. First rep wouldnt budge and told me to contact corsair. Second rep offered the 40% refund off the bat without even asking for it. Anecdotal, but I've found the female reps are usually more generous in what they offer to resove the issues.
