If you're getting ear wax all over a set of headphones (not earphones) you should probably see a doctor

    • And if you’re getting earwax in your earphones then you need a better ear cleaning regime. However, there’s always ridiculous comments in refurbished headphone posts about wax/oil/hair etc.

  • Still not worth it even at this reduced price… almost a terrible headphone.

    • Feel free to recommend a better wireless PS5 headset for the price. Vast majority of reviews are positive.

Given you can still plug something into the controller, I'm just going to stick with that rather than recommend investing in current Bluetooth and wireless tech, but there are more tonally balanced offerings from HyperX and Logitech in this price range.

Pulse Elite is on its way for $250 RRP, hopefully Audeze didn't let Sony mess up their tech too much.

Some people want wireless for a variety of reasons. That’s why I asked if you could recommended a better wireless option for the price. You can’t.

I struggled to find any bad reviews for the H7. Reviews are overwhelmingly positive. The only real criticisms were made on the basis of its original RRP.

They announced local pricing? US$150 RRP. $250 would be pretty conservative given GST and the current dollar.

So you’re recommending a headset that doesn’t have local pricing, isn’t available and when it is will be about double? Pointless.

Mate, you manage to make every headphone post here far more serious that it needs to be. Go argue about frequency graphs on some forums.

I'm saying wait for the better bluetooth tech. It's been held out by the manufacturers for 2 years now - and it's been an incredibly frustrating wait - but the current stuff is crap. Genuinely shit.

At this price, I still recommend the HyperX and Logitech wireless offerings over the H7, but I strongly suggest getting proper wired headphones or an IEM for the money.

This is what marketing teams do now: they dodge critical (and usually competent) reviewers so they can keep a good vibe about a product without really digging into anything that really offers to describe it, and usually without comparison to typical audio gear or strong competitors.

Mid-bass bloom, patchy treble, limited features and technical performance, difficult to EQ. Sony haven't been good in audio for a fair while, which is why they indirectly acquired Audeze.

$250 is about right, though it might slip up another $10 or so.

Not how I roll, and if you'd properly read my posts ever, you'd know that. Gamers deserve better than this junk, and even Sony Entertainment understands that.
