    • $6 delivery ?

      • Apologies, I didnt count the delivery considering I could pick up.

  • Unfortunately Bunnings has changed it’s listing price, so price beat no longer possible.

This is 1080p resolution one. I would wait for 2K model to come down a bit, although there are some other cheaper choices available as well.

    • I'm waiting for the new 3c (4K) to come down a lot.

  • How good is the video quality ? Is data stored on cloud somewhere to refer back when required?

    • +1

locally stored in the base station

      • Thanks. Video quality?

        • its 1080p so yeah its alright.
there are 2k, 4k models available too.

      • I don't think so. The only base station with local storage that I know of is the Homebase 3 that comes with the 3 and 3C cameras, not these.

        • No, older model also comes with own storage in the base station, 16GB memory card.

          • @Dalgona456: Also, Homebase 3 storage is expandable. They never got around to do it for Homebase 2 so stuck with internal memory only. I think Homebase 1 is also expandable via SD card.

If you don't mind refurbished products, there are also few options directly from Eufy (https://myeufy.com.au/security/refurbished.html)

  • This is an old model which they are still trying to sell at prices over 3 years ago. I paid for mine $555 over 3 years ago. Better to wait for a deal in the 3C or even the 2C Pro.

  • Same price at Supercheap Auto.[free membership required]

  • Do OzBargainers have a preference between Eufy and Arlo?

    • I'm still using the original Arlo, but will be moving to Eufy as they don't have monthly subscription.

  • Hey potentially stupid question. Do the eufy Homebase units have the own wifi via which the cameras must connect or do the cameras use your existing home wifi network?

    • +1

Yes cameras connect to the base unit and not through home wifi. So camera needs to be in a position where it’s in range with the base unit. But base unit is connected to the home wifi so you can move it where it’s best places within home.

To further jt's thoughts - the base actually has great range too. I have it literally tucked into one corner of my rectangular home and the camera on the complete opposite corner on the brick wall still has a very good signal.

      • Thanks for the insights :)

Does noone know or care that Eufy got busted for dodgy practices then lied to coverup before finally coming clean?

"In the thread and accompanying videos, Moore shows proof that Eufy cameras are sending data that is said to be “stored locally” to the cloud, even when cloud storage is disabled."'
