will this fit my Extended ATX mobo?

    • +2

Oh yeah for sure, just put it in the RAM slot.

They call it the RAM slot because you REALLY gotta PUSH to get it in there, so if it feels like it won’t fit, just push HARDER

You should be able to google if your motherboard has screw holes for 2230 though if you know what it’s called

If you care about warranty then it doesn’t seem bad

      • $50-60 more than the $80 street price of the Samsung or WD is pretty bad

Paying 60%+ more for warranty does not stack up, especially when the majority of these drives are being bought for Steam Decks and storing non-critical data

        • If it lasts you a week or two and dies, you’re SOL.
If you trust Corsair’s brand and want a 2230 with warranty then this is a cheaper option than other places list it

I’m not saying you need to buy it, but there’s a market for it and it’s not unreasonable for an item that’s new. I would imagine the Ali express ones are plucked out of laptops or other stuff they couldn’t sell

      • If you care about warranty then it doesn’t seem bad

In what world would anyone pay an extra 50% for a warranty ?

The only way that could ever be reasonable is if the drives had a one in two failure rate.

In practice it's probably going to be less than a fiftieth of that…

        • No you have to buy it. No arguing

Your hatred of a good deal doesn't equal a neg.

Your hatred of a good deal…

        There is no hatred

It is a poor deal for the reason stated and and based on the votes after 3.5 hours, the wider community agrees

Since you were comfortable issuing the original ultimatum in your deal:

If you're looking at buying this you know what it is and what it's for. I'm not going to bother explaining it to you more. Either buy it or don't.

Get comfortable with receiving the matching feedback

Sorry, wider community was asleep, but I just fixed it for you:

You + community have revoked the -1 vote from "ChatGPT" on this deal

        • I don't get how a guaranteed legitimate product, with Australian warranty, delivered in one day, equals a bad deal. But maybe that's just me.

        • Your opinion is on negative 8 and the deal is plus 10. So no, the community does not agree with you.
