Another cracker vinyl deal on Amazon. This box set is normally about $200 more expensive. I’ve got it myself and it sounds fantastic. Gets rave reviews online. Enjoy!

The Rolling Stones In Mono (Limited Color Edition) features the entirety of the band's 1960s studio output, each pressed on a different color. 14 original mono albums are included in this set, including UK and US versions of Out Of Our Heads and Aftermath. Also included is the special collection Stray Cats, a 2-LP set incorporating every 1960s Rolling Stones track that isn't on the other 14 albums. This limited-edition numbered box set includes a 48-page booklet with an essay by David Fricke.

    Plays out of one speaker?

Does that mean I need to buy two of them for stereo?

  • I believe these old songs were originally mastered in mono, so one for purists.

Can probably find these mixes on YouTube.

    • YouTube usually sounds rubbish, I often have it silent for video and sound from a decent source.
I didn't have access to the earliest albums until recent years, they were an excellent cover band.

    • Probably works a treat on your old radiogram.

  • Glad i got a heap of old vinyls which I regularly play, sounds more like it was than the remastered stuff

Thanks OP. Some of us prefer the mono mixes as stereo mixes (in those days) were usually done by someone else or suffered from the dreaded "ping pong" effect. I'm also glad that they've included the U.S. releases of "Out Of Our Heads" and "Aftermath" (again, back in those days British albums didn't include the songs released as singles but the American ones did (but they dropped other tracks).
