Hey everyone,

I've been checking out the S7 MaxV Ultra, but I'm having second thoughts because I couldn't help but think it is a black shiny plastic that will be a giant dust magnet (especially if you have pets). But look at this! Roborock finally released the white Ultra dock, and this seller is offering the S7 MAX Ultra at a 22% discount. You can even use the eBay promo codes OCT15 or OCT17 to get another sweet $300 off. (Note that the max discount is $300 per transaction, which is awesome for folks who aren't eBay Plus members. It's like getting the same sweet deal as eBay Plus members!)

I did a quick comparison, and here are the three main differences I found:

1. The S7 MAX Ultra has more suction power than the S7 MaxV models, with 5500Pa compared to 5100Pa.
2. It comes with a built-in drying module, so you don't need to buy it separately.
3. Instead of AI Object Avoidance, it uses Reactive Tech Obstacle Avoidance. My home isn't cluttered, this should be just fine.

By the way, I noticed that the S8 robot vacuums are also on sale for $1021.59. The OCT15/OCT17 code can also appy to it for further discount. I'm not personally interested because it's just a robot vacuum without the all-in-one dock. However, for those who might be interested, it's available for $847.92 if you're an eBay Plus member or $868.35 if you're not.

  The Roborock q-revo is available from Amazon at $1699 (at the moment) and in a lot of reviews seems to do better than the S8 with dock.

        The q-revo is better at mopping (as it has rotating pads) but doesn't have a camera for the more sophisticated obstacle avoidance.

    Seeing how amazing the s8 has been at our place at avoiding shoe laces, kids toys, dog bowls etc, the s8 object detection could be worth it.
