Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 (11.2" 2.5K OLED, 8GB/128GB, Widevine L1) US$220.86 (~A$349.94) Shipped @ Lenovo Online AliExpress

OT14

This previously popular tablet is back on sale and this time the better Qualcomm variant is on sale for a lower price than the previous MediaTek variant. The main difference between the two is that this one uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 CPU instead of the MediaTek Kompanio 1300T (on par performance), has 8GB RAM instead of 6GB and 68W fast charging instead of 30W.

Due to the flagship specs this one is awesome for gaming, media playback including Netflix HD and overall general usage. Easily better value than the 2023 variant.

Features include Android 13 / ZUI 15, 11.2" 2560x1536 OLED display with 600nits brightness, HDR10+ & Dolby Vision, 8GB RAM, 128GB UFS 3.1 Storage (microSD support), 8200mAh battery with 68WW fast charging, 4 JBL Speakers with Dolby Atmos, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, USB-C with Video Out, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and POGO pins for charging/keyboard.

For reviews Techtablets has praised this tablet with the downside being no headphone jack. Given the review is on the 6GB MediaTek variant the performance in this will even better.

  • Nice price. It says on the description it's the Chinese version and it doesn't come with Google Play. Is that correct?

    • +11

You open the Lenovo app store to install Google Play / Services.

      • +1

Really good price for the specs.

  • +1

Showing 360 to me after code. Tax is 33$

    • +6

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate,

According to Mastercard US$220.86 is A$349.94. Paying in USD with a currency conversion free card set to bill in USD in PayPal gets you exchange rate.

      • Trued using PayPal with Up Mastercard Debit and Ubank Visa Debit, both showed A$364.xx to me. Probably exchange rate has changed.
So purchased with AUD currency with A$360.84.

I have this tablet (thanks Clear)

It's pretty good. As someone using a flagship phone from this year it has a few stutters in comparison however it's still quick enough and keeps up with any workload. Screen is A+ and the battery is quite good too. Also the speakers are surprisingly good. Just note there is some lingering Chinese in the software. Even after changing the language. Though seemingly nothing important that will really effects the experience.

I paid about $100 more and think it's still worth it at that price point. For this new price point it's a great buy for what I would consider a casual tablet.

I also have the Precision Pen 3 which works quite well. Not as good as the apple pencil but a worthy addition for note takers

    • Do you have a case on yours? Thinking of picking up this tablet and a case to go with it. Cheers.

      • +2

Yeah I have the magnetic Lenovo case that has the bump for the pen. It's a good case :) paid about $22 on ali express

    • +2

Hi can you share link to both case and pen lease. Thankyou

    • Thanks for the insight! Is it worth trying to get a global rom for it?

      • +2

There's no official global ROM for this tablet. Any seller that advertises one is slapping a ROM on from one of the older Lenovo tablets and that results in several issues. Namely a bad performance due to the ROM being optimised for different hardware, unlocked bootloader (PITA to relock), no Widevine L1 DRM for Netflix/Prime/Disney+ HD, no updates and no fast charging.

        • Ah I see! Thank you for all the info/work you've done! Can't wait till mine arrives.

    • +1

do u have the mediatek? I believe that one performs with stutters esp in games compared to the Qualcomm I have experienced this issue first hand Qualcomm way better due to dev support

    • How is this for artists? Keen on using this to draw storyboard

  • +1

Damn both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. Can't think of a single other OLED device (not just tablets) that supports both. That's actually super cool.

  • +1

Thanks JV, anymore portable monitor deals? Thanks

    • +2

      JV? Are you seeing things/people?

      • +1

I think calling Clear, JV has become a thing. I missed why but.

  • This may be a silly newb question, but does it come set up in English or do you have to work it out?

    • +1

You can choose English in setup. There may be a few things that aren't fully translated.

  • +1

Are there any links for the best pen for this tablet?

  • Can't find where to apply the voucher at checkout. It's showing ~$384 odd.

  • How's this compared to Lenovo M10 plus 3rd gen?

    • +1

Significantly better in everyway as this is a flagship tablet and that's a budget tablet. To name a few… newer version of Android, larger/brighter/better OLED display, double the RAM, faster storage, significantly better CPU/GPU, better cameras, bigger battery, faster charging.

      • Do you know if it is an international version where you can use google play and access WhatsApp etc vs local Chinese version where there are restrictions?

        • You download Google Play from the Lenovo app market and it's good to go. Those other restrictions apply to the internet in China and not the tablet.

      • Hey @Clear what sort of competing tablet would you suggest is matching this one? I just bought a s6 tab lite mainly for the kids and some part time magazine reading / Xbox app gaming.

Looking for another slightly more capable one now but don't want to go back to apple and the surface tabs might be a bit too $$$.

      • But to be fair to the M10, it can be bought a lot cheaper than this, and has local warranty

  • Hiyahhhhh no more codes?

Said all have been claimed… damn

    • OT14 is still valid. Have you used it before?

      • I had it in cart then I changed it from AUD to USD

        Maybe that's why?

        • +1

Check your orders. There might be one pending payment.

          • +1

            @Clear: Woo bought thanks 🤗

$349.96 paid in visa ING card

I tried to add the case in same order but it wouldn't allow the code to be used

So next is a case 😎

  • Thanks! Just bought one, missed out/decided not to get the previous deal on the non pro version, but can't pass up this one with OLED screen.

  • What case are people getting with it? Getting it for the parents, probably overkill.

    • Same any help

    • +1

Opted for the one listed in the description of the sale. The Original Lenovo magnetic one ($20 USD or there abouts)

    • Also looking for a case

    • I wonder if anyone can confirm if the "Lenovo Folio Case for Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen)" would work, or anything for the Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) in general?

  • +2

Amazing price; paid over $600 for my earlier in the year from Giztop.

Great tablet no regrets served me real well during this three week overseas trip (especially during them long flights).

Posting from the airport getting ready to board the plane home haha.

    • Any recommendations for case and the pen Thanks

      • I didn’t get a pen but case I just looked up the case on aliexpress as well or eBay can’t remember now it’s been a while.

  • +1

Thanks op. Got for my sons bday. Also got $13.76 cashback.

    • Yes, CB tracked,, but there is no guarantee that it wont be declined as coupon is not listed in the CB

  • Bought. Thanks!

  • I’m assuming this can’t be used as an external monitor (only usb-c out?)

    • Wondering the same. Has anyone been able to find a work around? Some online forums say to use some Lenovo software/app to cast to your tablet via wifi. Not sure I'd do that whilst traveling on hotel wifi though. Any insight would be appreciated!

      • I think casting would create a compressed image and kind of negate a lot of the benefits of the display. Not sure though

  • updoot because you said 2.5K and not 2K

  • Can confirm using a 28 degrees card, the actual charge was $349.94 AUD, same as in the title.

Great price, hoping the Google Play install etc, Netflix setup… process is as straightforward as a number of these posts have suggested it is.

  • will the code void the cash back?—never mind i saw a comment that it does activate thanks

  • Cheers. Bought one.

  • +1

Ok thanks OP got one finally ,, Did anyone managed to find a good casing for this ?.. if yes , links please

    Edit : Found this https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005004812548709.html?spm=a2g…

    • Yeah I think that's the one linked in the tablet page. I bought that one.

  • +5

Got this tablet from the last deal two weeks ago, and paid $410. Extremely happy with the device, screen is beautiful and speakers work surprisingly well for media consumption. It came with android 12 originally, but you are able to update the device to android 13 straight away. Device itself doesn't have a headphone jack, but the box included a USB C to head jack cable.

For anyone worried about not having google apps, you're able to download Google Play directly from the Lenovo 'App Center' App, and go from there.

****Also important note: You need to enable Google Basic services to sign into Google accounts on this device. This can be done by going into Settings > Apps > 3 dots right corner > Google Basic Services > switched on

    • Doesn’t it use ZUI instead as the operating system? Even though it’s based on Android.

      • Operating System : ZUI 14 (based on Android 12), that is what we can see in the specs

      • Yeah it does. I meant that you can update to ZUI15, which is based on android 13.

  • This is a great deal, but I'm looking for something a bit smaller for my kid. Anything around the 8 inch size these days? Currently using a Sony Z3 compact tablet and it's really showing its age

    • Dunno how to link without it being a referall/affiliate (seems to default to that when I copy the link from the app).

But from the same seller, the Lenovo Y700 may be worth looking at. Though it may not be original global firmware which may mean no Widevine 1.

      • Awesome, thanks for the help, I'll check it out

  • is this Lenovo Online @AliExpress the offical Lenovo store or the seller just like to call itself that way?

    cheers

    Carl

    • +2

      They're all resellers.

  • Apologies if this is a stupid Q, is there a way to use this tablet as a secondary external display with my MacBook pro 14 inch? Thankyou!

  • Damn, good deal. went to purchase and its OOS

    • Does anyone have any other recommendations about this price? or wait for this to come back on sale?

    • Sorry, this item is no longer available!

    • Looks like one is available

  • Was just about to pull the trigger and it went OOS

  • More stock through same seller at slightly higher price. Not sure why there is so many listings.

    • "Lenovo Online Store" ,, For me just like ordinary eBay seller,,, Doesn't look like reputed company at all,,, :)

    • +1

It's a thing with a lot of Asian e-commerce platforms (AliExpress, Shopee, Lazada etc.) Sellers love to post multiple listings of the same products. I guess it's a way to increase coverage when people search for products.

  • After searching through ali i ended up buying this Pen and this Case as well.

    • +1

Apparently only the Precision Pen 3 works.

      • Thanks for heads-up. Actually I saw one guy using it on this tablet on YouTube so I ordered it. And I think he got it in box. Here's link. But not sure it's same or not. It's very confusing Pro, Mediatek, Sanpdragon, 10.5, 10.2" and so on and on other side it's pen, pencil, digital pen, xiaoxin pen, precision pen. So much confusion. Anyways, I sent seller message to confirm if it work or not so let's hope it work otherwise I have to cancel order or return.

        • +1

That video shows the P11 Pro 2021. Different tablet.

      • where's a good place to buy the precision pen 3?

  • How does this compared to Blackview Tab 16 256 GB rom+8gb ram? @Clear

    • +1

better in every way. budget vs flagship.

      • @Clear. I'm curious how do you usually compare between tablets? I only know if RAM is higher, then it will have smoother experience. What else should we look for? Blackview tablet has 8gb ram +6 GB expansion ram.

        • +1

When it comes to performance the main thing to look out for is the CPU. The UNISOC T616 is a medium to low end CPU compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 which was the flagship CPU back in 2021 and still holds up today. There's a lot of comparison websites and in a nutshell you're going to get significantly better performance (like 3x) with this.

RAM certainly plays a roll but I wouldn't pay attention to the "extended RAM" as that's only using part of the onboard storage as "RAM" and it really makes no difference.

Besides the RAM/CPU the other important areas are the display, battery and any other bonuses, i.e. Widevine L1 DRM for Netflix/Prime/Disney+ HD and big names like JBL speakers and Dolby Vision. The Lenovo for example is using a better OLED display over an IPS display in the Blackview with a higher refresh rate.

  • +3

For those after a case this is the one I got and it fits perfectly and looks exactly like the one in the description.

Also I did the ZUI15 update before I installed Play & Google services and I just installed them manually but supposedly installing Play via the Lenovo App does work, just remember to hit the hamburger icon to enable Google services. It didn't work the first time but I turned the service on and off and no problems since.

As for the tablet, it's extremely fast and the screen is excellent. Also the speakers are amazing and have almost impossibly rich tones for something this size.

(I ordered mine on the 23rd but also from Lenovo on AliExpress).

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0C1BRR7XR

  • Got mine but a lot of it is still not in English like some confirmation pop up prompts… is there something I can do to fix this?

    • Shame, otherwise I would've pulled the trigger on the tablet.

    • Does this still happen after further use and deleting all bloatware, etc?

      • No. There are still some parts in Chinese but nothing I use. I deleted every app in Chinese except App store and their browser which it won't let you.

        • Good to know. Now to wait for another deal on one.

  • Well my case from the same seller arrived yesterday, but the tablet only just departed the country yesterday :(

    • My case arrived today. No sign of the tablet! Same seller

  • So tempted to grab one of these from Ali. No tablet even close sold here for this price. Just worried about potential warranty problems down the track.
