  • Okay price for size and features but bear in mind this is a VA panel so motion won't be as good as IPS (prone to more ghosting), and seems to be the only VA listed in the options.

  • +2

Not the fastest monitor around but it's probably one of the better VA panels you can buy around this price at the moment.

For those who prefer the deeper blacks of VA to the glow of IPS, contrast and black uniformity should be decent on these.

At 93 PPI, pixel density is on the lower side but not atrocious - for reference, 27" monitors are around 82 PPI @ 1080p and 108 PPI @ 1440p, so this one sits somewhere in between. Should be fine for both gaming and work as long as you don't sit super close.

1 word.. black level smearing. :) no thank you VA Tech.

  • +2

I think this is a better deal. IPS panel 165hz and 1440p, $350 with the pax deal going on: https://www.lg.com/au/it-monitors/lg-32gp750-b

    • IPS VS VA = motion handling vs contrast.

I don't play heaps of high frame rate shooters so I assume I'd be better off getting the VA?

      • +1

NO.. i play league of legends and when scrolling around the map i see ghosting in the blacks to whites/colour transitions. its not too bad in those types of games and i would say acceptable for RTS games but its still way better on OLED or IPS

I would still go VA over a TN panel though as i hate the colour washout and horrid viewing angles of TN panels

I think TN is being phased out in all consumer gaming monitors

    • Thanks just got this instead, two 32 inches will be interesting. Can't stand the smear on VA, the contrast difference is negligible too.

      • LG UltraGear 32 Inch, QHD, IPS 1ms, 165Hz Refresh Rate is one of the best all around monitors specs wise

        • Yeah I currently have the same specs but with a MSI monitor that I bought for $365. Definitely happy with the purchase and 32 inch feels good enough to play league on compared to ultra wide.

          • @lookingforadeal7: Once i went 32" IPS 165hz i never wanted anything else.. Apart form OLED but thats too expensive at the moment and with burn in makes the price even harder to justify

    • Its coming up at 499 for me what do you mean pax deal?

      • +1

You need to make an LG account and there is a 30% off coupon that will show up when you add monitors to your cart. If you look at some of the other monitor deals posted over the last few days you'll see the PAX deals

Edit. I think the view just expired.

    • Is this going to be overkill for WFH office work?

Do I need to worry about IPS or VA and refresh rates?

I don't game on my work laptop (honestly, boss!), but am looking for a single monitor that can replace my current setup of 24" monitor combined with laptop screen.

    • How do you bring this down to $350?

    • i've been trying to log into the LG site for days, it just gives the stupid loading circle after clicking login. So annoying. Tried 3 different browsers and two different computers. :-\
Destined to not get a PAX-special LG monitor I guess.

      • Try a different network.

        Try incognito too.

Try mobile also. Just to see if you can get in.

        Or
Add to cart, go all the way to checkout but don't checkout. Try logging in from there instead.

    • @WinstonWithAY I wish I'd seen your post earlier. Expired now

FYI, this deal is unfortunately no longer available - Dell 32 USB-C Gaming Monitor - G3223D $310.41 (Was $445.50) Delivered @ - but it gives an idea of what a good deal on this kind of monitor is.

  • btw kogan has a 32" ips qhd for $259 (first)

    looks a decent deal

8ms though, wont be the best for gaming
