nice and clean whats not to like?

    • Might buy one to mod. Plenty of parts to choose from

      • +3

Wouldn't an Aliexpress watch with NH35 movement be a cheaper option if you're going to mod?

        • +2

True. I've almost bought a no logo steeldive about a dozen times but never pulled the trigger

          • +3

@rosebank: almost? its arguably the best way to blow up $100-ish on a time piece - treat yourself! (treat yourself more than you normally do)

      • What would you mod on this? Hands?

        • Dial, crystal, crown, day/date wheel, strap

    • -2

      Hardlex Crystal

I have so many green watches but I really want this. AH!

    • +4

I think it'd look good on you

    • +1

i mean lets face it, theres really only 3 colours to go for

black, blue, and for those that want to be different but still conform, green.

i was tempted by the yellow dial JOMW Erebus Origin though… but i already got too many watches with not enough wrist time.

      • +3

I quite like Jody's new watch but for the money you can get 3-4 steeldives that are 90% the same materials, movement and finish.

        • I also dunno how I felt about the cricket bat arms either tbh

          THE YELLOW DIAL THO ooo

        • +2

It's a very good debut watch, ticks a lot of the small attention to detail niggles that most get wrong.

Agree, black or blue (white if it was full lume) The blue looks great but have blue on blue tissot seastar that's prett similar (i like the sword hands, reckon they borrowed them off the Seastar). super legible, perfect dimensions, date at 6oc, looks like BGW9 lume, quick release. The matte finish is pretty good, think the bracelet could use more brushing, and i'm a fan of sunburst dials but wouldn't mind one! Would be a great everyday diver if i didn't already buy so many good watches recommended on his channel.

I posted that recently. People need to jump on that if they want a nice tiffany dial auto

      • +1

I'm still waiting for the Tiffany PRX80.. 😪

Going to nickname her TiffanyTissot or Titty (TT) for short.

        • +1

I just got the quartz PRX, don't care about auto personally

Guess what I bought in tokyo?

          • +1

@rosebank: Agree, as good as the powermatic 80 is, the Quarz version is the sweet spot and half the price ($425-450 on sale).

          • @rosebank:

Guess what I bought in tokyo?

Go on, spit out the list.

@Astronaut Joe: Nothing special just the presage @WasBargain keeps going on about: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/770635

Also got a night vision king Sammy, a jdm open heart seiko and a casio wave ceptor

The prices here aren't that great

              • +1

@rosebank: Our dollar getting reamed wouldn't help I imagine

              • +1

@rosebank: Oh my Lord, I think my heart skipped a beat when I read that.. 😭

Hope you're having fun though, you carnt. 🤣

What's up with no Starbuy weekend sale and no update to the daily one today?

    • Watch Depot started matching their prices. Starbuy took a massive L with no weekend sale.

    • Starbuy said that they are doing a stocktake so no deals this week

      • +1

They hinted at a super sale this week tho

        deepakpls

      • No shipping this week due to that too.

    • Giving you plenty of time to buy that Fugu.

  • +1

Extra $20 off new signup only applies for a spend over $200 so presumably the $199 deal does not qualify. Pity as for $179 I would have grabbed it.

    • mb, edited

  • It looks nice but colour

  • I like it, but my current watch budget is closer to $19.90…

    • +1

      I prefer the Steeldive SD1970.

      • Have you bought one yet lol
Sounds like you just need 10 of those and you're done haha.

        • +2

Yep bought a couple for myself & some for family & friends.

        Unreal value

Just noticed this Pagani Design PD-1679M is much cheaper than other stores at US$46.18 + GST

Not sure what the 2nd crown does if it has a NH35 movement though.

    • +1

      That's the Omega Seamaster America's Cup I mentioned a while back…the second crown's a dummy helium release.

      • I've got my eye on the Planet Ocean version (the orange one), and of course that one isn't reduced.

        • They started diluting the impact by releasing quartz versions of those, for an Omega homage. On the upside, they're cheaper and there's a chrono version.
