B.box Lunch Box $19.80 (40% off) @ Coles

100

Grabbed a couple of these, I haven’t seen them this discounted previously.
Handy for preschool, bento style which my boys like. Easy for kids to open themselves too.
The lunchboxes are meant to be handwash only but I’ve found they tolerate top drawer of the dishwasher ok.
Previously the just sippy cup was posted (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/804038)
but seems the whole b.box range is 40% off until Wednesday.
I found them in my local in the baby section, not in the main lunch box / kitchen aisle.

  • I can also vouch for this being completely dishwasher safe and also a good lunchbox, also good for primary school

I bought 4 at the start of the year for a preschooler and 3 primary school kids. One broke in term 1, another in term 2 in the same way (little piece of plastic where it clips shut). They are a bit annoying to clean compared to separate containers and sometimes wet things leak into other compartments or into their bag. The kids don't use them any more because of that.

I think they are a bit overrated and definitely not worth the full retail price.

  • Does anyone else take them apart completely for cleaning? Like remove the lid from the container. Because it does come off but Im not sure if removing the lid regularly would make it more likely to break

I reckon you would break the hinge sooner or later if you did that regularly.

I take the silicone seal out of the lid, then put the whole lunchbox in the top tray of the dishwasher like a tent. Gentle cycle, cleans up fine.
