Tempted to get a replacement for my 8 year old C3…

These things suck way better than Dyson, which is only good for convenience and being handy, otherwise, old school vacuum cleaners all the way.

  • Have these ever been this cheap or am I thinking of a different model?

Good vacuum for the price yeh?

What is the benefit of buying chorded vacuums these days? after Dyson, will never use a chorded vacuum again

    • +1

They're lighter with the extension handle, have more volume, more power and don't have to worry about battery.

    • Corded vacs like this will always have WAY more suction than any battery cordless vacuum.

Yes cordless are convenient for sucking up some quick mess, but battery run time can be limited for a big vacuum job and the suction won't be as good.

Also, some cordless vacuums are so damn noisy, especially with the motor right up near the handle. These Miele vacuums are very quiet in comparison and less 'shrill'.

    • Lots of different use cases but if you have a larger home then cordless may run out of power. Older people find that they weigh too much because of the motor and battery placement. I use a combo of robovac for the main areas and stick vac for stairs and hard to get to places. And Dyson still make corded vacs if people are wedded to the brand.

  • This or c3 for $399?

    • I would get the c1 and spend the difference on a turbo head. Especially with a lot of carpet.

The C1 or the Bosch GL-30?

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Bosch-ProPower-Bagged-Cleaner-BGL3…

Recently separated and bought a $99 Kmart bagless a couple months ago for the rental I'm staying in but obviously its awful compared to the Miele C3 Cat & Dog I had at the family home, not to mention the annoyance of the bagless system for me.

If I go for the Miele I could probably pinch the spare turbo head from an older C3 that I had at the family home (motor burnt out), but it is an extra $100 over the Bosch. What's the better buy?

    • Curious, too, been using the Bosch for a few years now and was quite happy with -but it gave up recently. Still have a few bags,

  • Hey everyone

Any recommendations for same power but bagless vaccine?
