Not sure what die for this is but latency is C40-48-48-128. Make sure u have a dual slot ram board to oc this. Or simply wait for 14th and the refresh of z790 to support it

  • high speeds = 2 sticks, so if you need more ram better to get highest capacity sticks. I am running my 4 * 6400 MHz sticks at 4800 MHz for stability.

  • bloody hell, now I need a new rig to suite :)… one day

  • CL40

    • 8000MHz

      • so it is same as 6000mhz cl30

        • no

          • @povogamer: https://www.xbitlabs.com/ram-speed-calculator/

            did you buy these ram?

sorry but it is okay price is reasonable

            • @javawoo: absolute latency of the XMP profile is not everything. if they were the same because of equal latency then you would be better off with ddr4 3200C16 for cheaper price or even go for lower latency

no I did not buy these

              • @povogamer: Its not everything but it is being agreed as a main factor of measuring speed of the ram.

                • @javawoo: that's not true especially with ddr5, the CAS latency paints a very small picture. also, you wouldn't buy these just to run XMP, you manually oc them and tune the timings yourself.

                  • @povogamer: when you compare with ddr4 vs ddr5 it doesn't work.

you need to compare ddr4 vs ddr4

                    OR

                    ddr5 or ddr5

                    • @javawoo: ok but this will not perform the same as a 6000C30 kit as long as you use it with a 13th gen unlocked cpu + 2-dimm motherboard

                      • @povogamer: ofc they are different 8000 will be faster or slower in different apps
