Come and celebrate OzBargain's 17th birthday!

Organising an event for the Canberrans and saw this deal where it equates to $15pp but requires 8 people. They have a monster kebab that comes with two large chips and drinks at $120. Will ring the place up to confirm that this offer is still available

Will be capped to 16 people. Since there isn't much seating option, we will either head to the nearby oval or small park near the tiny river and have a picnic there. I have no idea if they would be willing to assist us in transporting it there but that's a future cerealsmok3r problem

      Nooo I could leave you a shirt if you happen to be able to make it to the other event. Unfortunately have to check you in to give the shirt unless theres surplus

    Turkish Halal Pide House for those playing at home. Also FYI, the owner has sold the place around July 2022 and now at the Belco store.

    How set in are you on the monster kebab? It is still available to order on the website, but I can imagine people will have dietary requirements or preference for topping/sauce and make it hard to coordinate a standardised order for everyone.

    A standard kebab is $15.50 and will allow everyone to pick to their own liking.

      The value for money is still there despite owner moved to Belco but I can’t really find a difference in taste between both stores, except that the meat is more tender at the Belco store

      Thanks for the headsup! Do you know if its any good? I think we can get one monster kebab for 8 people and those with dietary requirements could order their own?

      Alternatively, I'm happy to scrap it and organise for a place at Dickson instead

        I don't get Turkish in general very often so I won't be able to vouch for it. I just wanted to point out the limited options available if we are all required to share a monster kebab and possibly turn people off from attending.

        I get that the point of the meet ups is not to get free food, but if attendees don't have the option of restaurant or food choice then it will greatly reduce the experience.

        Dickson/Belco or even Gungahlin for North side meet up would be good for those up in that area.

        Hi all- I was at last year's event at Gami's and thought that was great! I feel like individual kebabs/snack packs would be better as the monster per serving is only $1ish difference and then there's dietary requirements and transporting the damn thing lol. FYI there are also Kebab/Turkish in Civic (Kebaba) and Woden (Turkish Pide House) if location is inconvenient…

    I had a falafel kebab from there tonight.

    There are five different monster kebabs available, which one will be ordered? The options are lamb, kebab, chicken, falafal or mix.
