      Brissie does have a population of about 2M people so I'm sure we could do with more than just one event. Do I have to get the event approved first before asking if people are going? #newbie things

        I haven't organised a meetup, but I understand you should contact Scottie, so he can approve it/let you know the minimum number to qualify as a meetup/arrange the financial stuff/arrange t-shirts etcetera.

      The meetups always have a lot of lurkers where pretty much all their account interactions are mostly the meet ups every year.

        At previous meetups, I think we had between half and two-thirds of the "attendees" actually show up.

        Life gets pretty busy around this time of year, with Christmas lunches and relatives visiting. May explain some of the no-shows. Or just plain forgetfulness.

          Yep, I had about half or less one year I think.

          The “refundable on attendance” deposit last year fixed that. All but one showed from what I remember.

      Best for you to sign up for other event as this one seems to be over the limit. Will be releasing an official sign up / order sheet once it's released by Scooty and take a deposit afterwards
