https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/749709 - It was 559 half a year ago. So everybody hold your bullets!

Bear in mind the sensor package is now two generations out of date, and that is the main determinant of what feature updates this will receive.

    • The weird thing is i have a tattoo sleeve and the 7x Pro is actually worse than my 6x Pro at reading heart rate.

i came from a forerunner 955 last year to the the fenix 7x pro this year, and will get go back to a forerunner next year when they release a new one. fenix is heavy as hell. i guess it is super durable, but fatiguing for the whole day. i also do triathlons and feels like im running marathons with a hammer in one hand that is throwing off my balance. also very big and heavy for golfing, i just attach it to my bag to get the distance to the front/mid/back of green.
i don't do much hiking, but i think this is where the fenix would be great. also for everyday use for 1/2 the day as later in the afternoon you can really feel the weight. great for only a few hours of use honestly. but for the price i paid, i wish i could just leave it on, but it really is just too heavy. i now wear my fenix 1/2 the day for casual use and use my FR955 for activities.
hopefully the FR975 will come out next year and i will scoop that up. i only bought the fenix because friends recommended it. im not a little weak guy either, im 191cm & 95kg, and i still find it heavy, lol.

    • Thank you, talked me out of buying

I bought this exact watch 6 months ago with the $559 deal. I wear it 24/7 and don't find it heavy or cumbersome. It helped motivate me to swim and run more, and I ran my first half marathon a month ago with it. It's a great watch but it is two generations old and missing some features that the 7 gets. In hindsight, I would have waited 6 months and got the 7 which has been within $100 of this price and is worth the difference.

  • Is it 2019 or something.
