[Switch] 2 Games for $25 (Digital Code or Pre-Owned Media, e.g. Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ EB Games

490

Not sure how this runs on the Switch, but 2 for $25 doesn't seem like a bad deal if you've got a mate who wants one, or someone you want to force this on.

Example: Pre-owned Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning

None of the other Switch games on the 2 for $25 list really stuck out to me, but the other games/accessories are listed here-

Pretty good for digi Switch games if you're after them (and the associated gold coin rebates), Assassins 3 is in there, Rayman Legends, Trials Rising, This War of Mine, and a few others stand out.

      This War of Mine

You can get this from the eShop pretty commonly for $3.

      • Agreed, it always have special price of
        $3 on sale

      • May have been thinking of The Memory of Us. Neither game is of any interest to me, but I thought it worth more. My bad. Out of the loop these days.

    • Also, with very few exceptions, gold coins on physical games can only be claimed within the first year of a game's release.

      Edit:
No idea about digital retail code version of games though. Never brought any before.

  • any good ps4 with free ps5 upgrades in there? if not then it only seems like the switch games are worth it

You'd probably need to look into the "2 for $50" part of the sale to find those.

Some examples would be Cyberpunk and Witcher 3. There's also PS5 games like Deathloop and Dying Light 2.

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I've seen most of those examples going for <$20 previously, or even cheaper on PC (e.g. Ghostwire on Prime Gaming).

I hate it when they charge delivery fee for each items from each store! Bs

      Classic EB Tax

I'll be ready to drop $80 I shouldn't, just to realise the order will be an "Avengers assemble" moment from all over the East coast and cost $45 to be so lucky. Easy, now I buy NOTHING.

Exactly my experience. Hate to say it but if the local retailers wonder why their sales are dropping its because Amazon is leaving them in the dust. Can't be that hard for EB to centralise online stock to fixed warehouse locations and offer free shipping on orders over X amount. JB charges shipping (only once admittedly) no matter how many thousands you spend, then take days to dispatch it.

As others mentioned before some of these games can be found on sale for much cheaper. Always good to check dekudeals before making a purchase to see if the price is competitive with the frequent eshop sale prices.

    • I 100% agree, and it was a real lazy post on my part (thanks mods for the cleanup).
I just saw 2x Kingdoms of Amalur for $25 and thought that was a decent deal, however EB wouldn't ship two to me as "There are no stores with stock near your location"?

      • Sure it was also unavailable here on PC for a long time as it didn't meet the rating standard, or they didn't submit it. I recall having to trade for it on steam. The game itself after playing it wore out the interest quickly, it was definitely a MMO converted to a single player title as all the online reviews had noted. The re-issued version might be a bit better.

    Tried to buy a game…
Selected Click & Collect "not available at store"
Selected Home Delivery "not availabe for delivery"
Outstanding job as always EB Games thumbs up

    • Yeah got the same trying to get 2x Kingdoms, so I never ended up.
      Probably for the better anyway

Makes me laugh when the only stock is more than 1000kms away.

  • Closest stock is 350km away and no home delivery. Guess i will buy from the UK then :D
