    I just checked my local Coles today and saw that some of the celebration gift cards only have other retailers such as H&M and JD, but do not show officeworks. Looks like these are the older 2021 versions.

    Does anyone know if we can still use these older cards at officeworks?

      Yes.

      I have redeemed Celebration gift cards with and without the Officeworks logo on it at Officeworks in the past and they all worked fine.

      Officeworks was added to the Celebration gift card in September 2022, which explains the reason that it does not appear on cards manufactured in 2021.

      If you pay for an item using a Celebration gift card, the Officeworks receipt will show you used a Visa card. The receipt will show the last four digits of the Visa card, amongst some other details.

      If you add a Celebration gift card to a supported mobile wallet and then pay using that card on your mobile wallet, the receipt should also show that the type of Visa card you used was VISA PREPAID.

    Purchased this morning, tried to use at OW online but getting a payment error at checkout. I also can't see an option to exchange for an OW gift card. This card doesn't have Officeworks listed on the front either, but I can definitely see it as one of the merchants online when checking the balance.

      Have you contacted Officeworks to see why you are getting a payment error at checkout on the Officeworks website? That should help indicate where the problem may be, as it is currently not clear whether the problem is caused by the customer, Officeworks or Blackhawk Network.

      Not sure what the issue ended up being but OW was able to process the transaction over the phone with the same details I punched into the online payment form.

          Card number details.

          The PCN is the proxy card number, which is the unique identifier Blackhawk Network assigns to your gift card. The PCN cannot be used to process payments at participating retailers, as a PCN is not used to process payments on the Visa network.

    Paid the remainder $49 cash.

          Visa card might be classed differently to gift cards, although the gift cards work like credit cards. They have signs (at least at officeworks i went to) on the terminals that state gift cards cannot be purchased with gift cards.

    I also noticed that the OW logo is now missing from the gift card.
    I called the local OW directly, and the manager said they were no longer accepting them.
    The celebrations card website does mention that the availability of particular merchants does vary.
    Has anyone also found this to be case?

    Almost made the mistake of buying the card without officework’s name on it. The card works only for those stores printed on it just so that everyone is aware.

        If you add the GC to Apple, Samsung or Google Wallet, it clearly shows Officeworks on it when you open the Wallet. So simply head to any OW store and pay using the multiple GCs one by one.

      Can I use this card on the officeworks website?

      In theory, yes. You can only redeem a maximum of one per transaction on the Officeworks website, because Officeworks' website cannot handle split payments.

      In practice, your order may be cancelled for honestly unknown reasons.

      Also, does the card have an expiry date?

      Any remaining balance on a Celebration gift card will expire three years from the gift card's date of issue.

      However, the expiry date you use for card-not-present transactions (e.g. online transactions) and for adding the Celebration gift card to a mobile wallet is 12/29.

    At the time of this comment there is no stock in St Leonards or Crows Nest. Few $100 cards left in Neutral Bay, and lots of $100 (at least 15 I think) left in Chatswood Chase.

    Officework Chatswood happily accepted my 13 cards.

    Purchased an ipad 9th gen 64GB at OW. OW price is $447, PB with Costco's $439.99 by 5%.

    Eventually paid $439.99 x 0.95 x 0.85 = $355

    Paid by cards with no OW logo which were issued in 2021

        If they do, just tell them that the policy has changed that membership is no longer required for PB.

While the Officeworks website indicates 'In-store pickup', 'Out of stock in store' it seems I have to make the purchase online, and I'm unable to find an option to split the order using the gift card.       Call up the store and ask if the stock is in their warehouse or out the back on a pallet. They should be able to bring it in for you to purchase in store.
