1/2 Price Protein Bars (e.g. Body Science) + 5%/10% Extra off for 5/10 bundles + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Chemist Warehouse

110

An above average range of 1/2 price Protein Bars spotted this morning when i went on a Body Science bar raid at Chemist Warehouse. Apart from Body Science and Musashi, also Muscle Nation and Quest (i have never tried either of these brands, so cant vouch).

All varieties and gm sizes were at half price, and Body Science and Musashi still have the 5% off for 5 and 10% off for 10 extra bonus. Meaning i left the store with 10 Body Science bars for $20…for comparison the most economical way in Woolies is the 5 pack which is $19 for 5. They currently run $4.90 each singly. In other words only a madman buys them at Woolies without first checking Chemist Warehouse….

Worth pointing out that Body Science and Musashi have had this 5% and 10% extra bundle deal on for months

Personal note, ive given up the Musashi (which i rotated on and off of for months) as i find they cause how can i put this, stomach rumbling and constipation issues, for me personally, ymmv. I normally do Amino Z shakes, but sometimes you just want a different format/texture than drinking, or the portability…

  • Doesn't look like the extra 5-10% off work online

    • No, i dont think it ever has….i did point out i was in the store….

    • That only mentions Musashi, and doesnt mention the 5%/10% extra off :)

      • It’s a permanent feature on Musashi bars, may not deserve a separate deal

Again, i hadnt seen that post and again its not mentioned there and i thought id also point out its long running extra 5%/10% off for Body Science bars

Or you know i could just let you hound me and take this down and deny people a chance at saving, but that seems oddly at odds with the purpose of this entire site :)

          • @amosmilburn:

and again its not mentioned there

Doesn't need to be. They always have that discount.

      Duplicate of this?

      Yep…

You can mix and match any protein bar and you get a 5% or 10% discount but in store only though.

Supposed to be same brand but not sure they are strict on that

      • yeah, the fine print says it must be the same brand items.

Also RTD Protein & Energy Gels, not that I buy those myself.

      • Last time I tried they didn't allow different brands

      • not sure they are strict on that

it's automatically deducted at the register.

they need to be the same brand.

Did anyone mention the half price Endura range on ozbargain?

  • So which is the better bang per buck for protein bars?

    • +3

Probably the Musashi high protein ones but then much better bang for buck would be protein powder

      • Agree…purely from protein content , Musashi 90gm bar won't be beaten….

If you don't have an account with myprotein, you can pay 7.99 shipping to post office location with your free 6 pack of 60g protein bars

    • Link to "free" bars?

You're not the only one who has tummy issues Musashi. I too get the rumbles and general bloating. Been working through it by eating fibrous food prior to the bar, of which I eat only half of.

    • +1

yup, even with good water intake with Musashi you can end up with a solid mass otherwise, which takes some shifting (hopefully no one is eating dinner as they read this). i decided it was easier to avoid them and to converting my loo into a temple (a place where i prayed for relief as i tried to shift the output)
