  • Done, not really a fan of dark roast but worth for a try since it is free shipping.

    • Thanks Kenjai,

Im sure you will love it

  • can anyone vouch as to whether 38$ for 1KG of coffee is expensive or not?

This is a good price, generally 1kg can go for double $50-70 RRP depending on where you get it from. I usually hunt for deals around this price when restocking.

Anyone who can type something like "1kg coffee" into the search bar probably

You can buy 1 kg of pretty decent coffee at Aldi for 15 bucks

I've never paid that much & probably never will. Next one I want to try is the Aldi Colombia. I think it's $18.99 for 1kg. There are a few comments in this post that said it's good.

This isn't a bargain, just another coffee store using OzB for free advertising.

      • The Colombia is most excellent, and I agree up there with some of the regulars here.

Have upped the spend to $24.99 😲 for the Aldi Lazzio Luxe beans. Will be opening once my $18.99 Brazilian runs out.

My emergency beans are the Aldi Medium Dark 500g - they are a great all-rounder.

I found the Luxe beans not to be worth the extra stretch. It is fairly smooth and drinkable, but nothing distinctive to hang your hat on. For something that claims to have "articulate chocolate", whatever that might be, it does not. I got suckered in my the fancy packaging.

@Daabido: Yep agreed. Just finishing one off now - yes very smooth, however if you don't get the grind right (needs a finer grind than the single origin Lazzios), it can turn a big sour/bitter.

            • @willyroo: What's the taste/ profile of the Luxe beans?

I used to like Aldi's Brazil SO, but it's not the same anymore.

Tried Coles Cucina Classica Italian roast. Wasn't too bad. Similar to Inglewood Downtown.
