  • Looks like the online ordering platform is down for now so ill probably end up using the Uber eats $10 burger deal instead for tonight

    • The UE deal is probably better for those just wanting burger- more selection at $10 each.

Can you upgrade to their tears instead?

  • WHAT’S THE NORMAL PRICE?

    • They say save 25% off the RRP of that's any indication.

    • Looks like a simply grilled is 12.90

This properly taste better but I think the KFC family burger deal is better value.

    What are HFC bites?

Chicken Bites. Our HFC Bites recipe starts with 100% Australian. RSPCA Approved Chicken Breast, coated in a 100% Natural, Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free crumb, and is then. cooked in Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil

    • +3

Battered chicken breast pieces. Uses actual chicken meat instead of nugget mush.

    • Any idea what the HFC actually stands for?
High Fructose Cornsyrup fed? Healthy F*#'n Chicken? Or is it a mystery that a market research company determined people would infer quality lol
I really wanna know now I've let it penetrate my thoughts.

      • +1

"Healthy Fried Chicken? Yeah, for real. Because our HFC is cooked in Red Island Australian extra virgin olive oil and has no preservatives, no additives, and no hormones."

$20? Even in this economy is that really a bargain?

    • Yes.

    • In my mind I'm still waiting until Macca's starts offering medium meals for $4.95 my idea of fair pricing is living in early 2000s :'(
The idea of spending $20 for one person on a takeaway meal that wouldn't fill me up blows my mind. New Normal I guess

Dude, I'm shocked every time I see the latest maccas deals. Medium quarter pounder meal for $9? Isn't that the normal price? It seems absurd!

      • Comparing Grill’d to McDonald’s is like comparing a BYD to Tesla.

        • Yeah I know but even though they are a better burger I still can't justify a price of $15-$20 but they aren't alone my local chicken shop used to sell $6 chicken wraps with 3x of those premanufactured chicken strips, salad and mayo (not the greatest but when you were almost broke it was a good cheap option) but they now cost $12 each. I have no idea how a single parent could ever afford to go out for dinner these days even crappy unhealthy take aways are gonna cost $50+
I know I sound like a whinger but even though now I can afford the higher prices it still doesn't sit well with me that there doesn't seem to be any real low cost options (excluding some random offers/deals that pop up here and there)
          Food for thought anyway.

            @Clarky77: I get you. I miss the 90s and 00s too.

For us we rarely spend money on food or entertainment, so when we do I’d rather pay more and get a good burger from Grill’d than then stuff from McDonald’s or Hungry Jack’s.

I find fish and chip places too inconsistent for burgers. And pub meals are over priced processed crap now days.

An increasing number of restaurants have "kids eat free" deals where for every main meal you buy you can get a kids meal free. If you look at the price of the main meals I'm definitely subsidising other peoples kids.

And they place the burger on the side of the big ass plate to remind you that you're too poor (or stingy) to order anything else..

  • I got a notification from the Grill'd app about this deal today, it said "available all week" in the notification but seems it ends in November as the ozbargain post here says. I had to search this online to see what the T&C are, when I scroll down to the bottom of the linked page under the T&C it states "Not available via the Grill’d App" but it does show up in the app for me. Very strange.
