This is the cheapest deal so far I have found for ACER ASPIRE ONE. Best still if you are in Sydney, you can pick them up…no extra cost..no catch…and they have stock!

  • This is pretty good deal. Office works should be able to price match this so you could get a further 5% off. Not sure if they will throw in the USB though.

  • http://www.laptopdiscount.com.au/dispdet.php?idw=08080816121… cash back $69, so its better deal $10 :D bring it to officework, surely they will match it + 5% but minus usb drive, i just bought one last week when the laptopdiscount price os $491

  • +2

******** WARNING ******* BE CAREFUL …… LaptopDiscount.com.au (by andyken above) Acer Aspire might be $499, but they have already claimed the $69 cashback for themselves!! It says no where on their website that no cashback applies, only after you pay for it and it says on their invoice you receive with the laptop ‘no more cashback redemption’. I contacted Acer today and they said it’s a No No! Also will be following up with local office of fair trading.

I just purchased one from them, wished I would have read this post earlier. Thanks anyway.

    • Thanks for the heads up. That is indeed unethical practice.

  • Guys just to let you guys know….be careful now I know some of you like to use officework trick to get cheaper. But this shop is smart. I have been there once. It's like MSY…I think worse in a sense they only one man show shop. They dont normally pick up the phone, nor I dont think there is one known on the web. Problem is if you try to get it price match in officework, you will have problem verifying they have stock or not. Therefore Office work have the right to refuse price matching. Also a friend of mine tried the trick in Office work, I dont know how eventually the office work rejected them. Also one of my friend even has a printed special from their shop with their phone number in it…and yet when they tried to verify the stock, they just said "NO STOCK!"…when in fact they have plenty. I think they just want to stop people trying to get their price match somewhere else. Honestly man…I just dont think it's worth the extra time. In my experience dealing with Anypc…they are quite ok though…you can also bargain with them. (just make sure they are reasonable). They have pretty aggressive pricing. The only thing I hate, if there are a lot people in the shop, you are going to be waiting for quite a while, since it's only a one man warehouse.

    • One man shop?

From the ACN lookup it says it's an Australian private company. ABN lookup on the ABN of the domain (anypc.com.au) shows it's at least a partnership. Not to mention on their contact page it boasts 3 warehouses and 1 showroom…

  • Dude, what I mean by one man shop is there is only one man working in the store. YES you may be right there may be 2 or 3 owners….and they may have branch everywhere. If there is only 1 man in the store can you imagine if the store is crowded???
