Quite a nice entry level laptop and not a bad price for the specs.

    This is a great deal!!
I brought my mum one of the one of the AMD A6-4400m on sale last week, it doesn't have a discrete graphics card though… but she does not do any gaming.

These new Trinty AMD APU's are pretty good, I tested her laptop and it plays CS-GO on med-high graphics @ 60fps on laptops max res. It also gets 40-80fps in WOW on most things on high settings.
If your just surfing the net, you can expect upto 5 hours with decent screen brightness and power.

  • Anyone bought this model (with the 7670M GPU) in previous deal before and comment on gaming performance, any heat issue, or can this able to handle Battlefield 3 at all?

"Although marketed as a dual-core processor, the A6-4400M includes only one module with two integer-cores and one floating-point core. As a result, the CPU is not a true dual-core processor."

  • For light use and a throwaway attitude (i.e. get a new one in 2ish years) this is a good deal. Also good for tight budgets.

For heavier use, or a computer you want to last a bit longer, go the NP350V5C-S02AU mentioned here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/80715

When I buy for my parents I always choose brands I know last the distance. That used to be Toshiba (I'm typing on one right now!) but perhaps Samsung will hold true as well. Time will tell.

  • Az,

I've tested this new trinty APU against the old Llano APU 3530mx chip in games.
No difference, even though its two cores integrated into one module "SHARES RESOURCES".
