    I used the return option (as it was the only option available) and later got a notice saying that I didn’t need to return the item:

    AliExpress issued a full refund to me overnight.

    Alternatively, did you pay via PayPal or the like? Could be worth chasing with them too

  I'm not sure I selected return option to get full refund…. should I wait a day or 2 to see if aliexpress completes refund and no need to send?
  What prompted it to change though?
  Currently action is on me to SEND the item.

  Because if I send it back, seller needs to pay for Shipping Its like $50AUD to send it back lol.
  I suspect seller must have intervened and decided to full refund overnight. overriding the need to send it back.

    This was my first return to AliExpress, it went smoothly for me, but I have no experience with your process unfortunately. I also actioned it weeks ago when my package first arrived - maybe the timing of your response has something to do with their response too?

    Has AliExpress actually said that a full refund is coming to you? Did you submit photos of the wrong item being shipped? Have a read through this whole thread to see what others have done too.

    If they insist on shipping it back, ask for a prepaid shipping label perhaps? Did you pay via PayPal? If so, take it up with them too.

      aliexpress is a piece of poop.
      useless.

      item arrived, no one seems to care. Once tracking number entered there is 30days to wait. until warehouse confirms return.
      if they dont confirm , then wait for aliexpress to step in again.

      I pasted australia post tracking code, and it doesn't track correctly on aliexpress website.

      this is a waste of time

        Yep, same experience. The responses I was getting felt automated. No one there gives a shit. They’re in on the scam for sure.
