    Same. Tried adding $100 and multiples of it like $200 $300 options, all didn’t work

    Got this error message:

      When you get that error after trying to add your card, add the $50 card. For whatever reason, I had the original gift card added instead of the $50 card and was able to finalise the purchase afterwards.

        Thanks just saw this. But I did trial and error and managed to get it to work anyway. Purchased the $500 gift card for $450

          @Jared17: the trick didn't work for me an i needed $1000 to upgrade my bedroom as well which is a bummer.

          i had things saved in my cart from 2 weeks ago, i planned on purchasing them today but left them all in my cart as i couldn't decide which pieces i wanted. planned on going to ikea before my final decision.

          to my luck. i saw this on ozbargain yesterday and i went to ikea today spent the day making my final decision because i wanted to know the total amount first before ordering the gift card.

          went and tried the gift card multiple times and got the same error as you!! bummed! now i got to pay full price which is $1000!

  Really frustrated by this. I couldn't purchase any cards without getting an error in french, no matter what I did.

      To get discount, membership is entered, thus it should not be anything to do with this. I tried $1k before and it was error, and I changed it to $800 and it worked.

        For me the French message disappeared as soon as I entered my member no., checked out over 4k with no issue.

    This is their first time selling gift card directly I guess. But so many bad experience in purchasing, I get a feeling they will do it again anytime soon, hopefully better this time.

    I also do not recall IKEA ever selling their gift cards on their own website at a discount.

    I suggest you keep on eye out on three avenues:

    • Deals on Ultimate gift cards, as selected Ultimate gift cards feature IKEA as a participating retailer. At the time of writing this comment, you can either use Ultimate gift cards directly instore at IKEA, or go to the Ultimate gift card website and exchange an Ultimate gift card for a digital IKEA gift card. Ultimate gift card deals pop up on average once every 2-3 weeks.

    • Boosted cashback deals on Shopback. (These are not very frequent.)

    • Deals on IKEA gift cards at Coles and Woolworths. (These are not very frequent either.)
