If I click through via the challenge promo, it shows an only 1.5%. If I click through via the 3% bonus promo I get 3%. Both the same super swap card?

        • I clicked through the 3% promo, it shows 3% cashback but after the transaction, I only received 1.5% Cashback. Not sure what I did wrong

        • You saved me 1.5%*150! Thanks!

Update: didn't realise the $150 spend is only the qualification for an additional $150 required spend, dang

          • @Fobsessive: It's an additional $200 spend, as it says in the title.

            • @wavesgreen: The Ozbargain title said it however SB's wording was not that clear to me

      • Did you get both $10 coupon and 3% cashback? It shows different cashback when I click thru the $10 coupon challenge.

  • :( an hour too early

Why are these so well regarded? It's just 3%

    • agree the "only 3%", but tell me how can do better than that for: Coles, Bunnings, etc

Macquarie gift cards, which can be accessed via their no-fee transaction account, includes Coles 3.5% any time. (They did remove Coles for a while but then brought them back.)

They also have Ikea 6%, JB 4%, Bunnings 2%, etc.

        • -2

          PerkBox has 4% coles, Bunnings. 5% JB. 6% IKEA. 8% BCF/SCA

          • @Spending2Much: so I think that many of us would have to change employer (for the perkbox thing)

        • Not bad but no credit card points.

Also, the ability to buy these Gift Cards using your earned Cashback itself!

I score Cashback when booking hotels (15% on Expedia / Wotif), (12% on Booking.com), (Profit deals for SIM Cards) and also have certain bonus cashback deals to add even more.

Spending this earned cashback directly on Gift Cards is the best way to 'cash-out' your cashback. Essentially, you're getting the whole Gift Card for free, plus you get another cashback for buying this gift card too!

Just spent $50 of my earned cashback to buy this Shopback Super Swap GC, and again got $1.50 Cashback tracked (3%).

So, well, effectively it is a lot more than "just 3%".

How is it better than just withdrawing cash? It is literally just 3%

Adds up when you spend thousands at Coles every year.

  • Thanks OP

Combined with Prezzee deal works out approx 4.1% discount for $350 spend if my maths are correct.

  • Does anyone know if the ShopBack Super Swap Gift Card can be swapped to a eBay gift card?

    • +2

It can, the GC page has a full list.

      eBay ($5-$500)

I dont get this im after Ikea gift cards can someone clarify?

So i buy these shopback super swap gift cards for let say $1000 i get 3% back. The i swap them for ikea gift cards and earn another 3%. Is that correct?

Or if someone has a better Ikea giftcard deal?

    • +1

You get cashback for purchasing the super swap only. There is no further cashback for swapping it.

If you want IKEA gift cards specifically, there are better alternatives than 3% cashback, such as 6% via Macquarie as already posted above.
