Lyca Mobile: $18.50 Cashback on 30GB 28-Day $12.50 SIM or eSIM (New Customers, Ongoing Renewal $25) @ Shopback

141

Uses Vodafone network. Check the coverage around the areas you frequent before buying.

If you order an eSIM, an email with a QR code will come within a few minutes.

Definition of new vs existing customer is controlled by Lyca Mobile, not the cashback provider. You can use dots if you use Gmail(support.google.com) to pass as a new user (i.e. [email protected] and [email protected] all go to the same inbox).

There is a generous 60 day window for SIM activation (applies for cashback as well), which one of the few good things about Lyca Mobile.

Previous deals have a large number of users reporting how poor the number porting process is. I would suggest you use the number that comes with it on a dual SIM phone and set that number for data usage only.

If you want to use it just for the first month and not renew at the regular price, make sure to check both the auto recharge and auto renew settings in the Lyca Mobile app or website. People in previous deals have reported being confused by this and assumed that they are the same, only checked one of them and have ended up being charged for a second month. One of them will be on by default. Make sure both of them are off.

Not to downvote the OP but Lyca is the new TPG in my experience - if all goes well then that's fine. Slightest issue needing their support - you are in for a sh*t show..

been with TPG for years and been great. Whenever I have any issues they were pretty good in troubleshooting and resolving the issues for me.

OP, you got TopCashback in the title, change to Shopback.

Btw, Shopback is notorious for not tracking or tracking incorrect amounts.

It’s a scam. My previous purchase was declined despite being the new customer ie never had a sim with Lyca before. Escalated the case and now have to wait until end of May for an outcome. Not worth the effort

    • +1

Yup. Mine also declined after porting out, You need to stay until its paid, not worth it.

    • +1

Mine was rejected as well after having multiple issues tracking. I signed up for a new number, never disconnected and it should still be able to receive incoming calls as credit ran out just before Xmas. Avoid.

    • in the last deal I bought just one. They have issued a credit out of goodwill now.

  • I tried this offer yesterday, couldn't even activate the eSIM on my iPhone 12

I would stay away from Lyca. They auto recharge and extremely hard to deal with. They send random emails to delay fixing billing issues.

    • Second that 100% !

    • I had to send Lyca to TIO to return its illegal money transaction (it called it auto-renewal) from my bank account.

  • Tips for sim swappers:

Best to avoid using this as a sim swap alternative. Porting in is a no issue. However, for the porting out process, you would expect your Lyca service to be non functional as soon as you transfer to your new service and pause all future Lyca payments. This is not the case. They will issue the on going charge for a service that is NOT being used.

Refund process is: you email about the charge -> you provide order number, previous number the sim was allocated with and your Lyca charge from your payment service -> 5-7 business day refund. Any information not supplied will delay the refund even more. Emailing for fixes is much faster than phoning (they will basically ask you to do the mentioned steps).

Additional steps for porting out not included :).

    • Better keep away from Lyca mobile and its illegal & unauthorised ongoing transactions :(

Only TIO helps on Lyca mobile troubles.

  • Tracked for me! Thanks OP.

Shopback has been 100% reliable for me.

I don't trust Shopback with Lyca moble

tl;dr Shopback tracked my Lyca purchase back in November, now it's rejected.

    Buyer beware!

Still waiting on Topcashback w / Lyca

  • My last purchase was tracked but later declined. 18.5$ for sim with bad service, and low data. I learnt my lesson.

Sent Lyca Mobile to TIO for unthorised touching my bank account for a second round$12.50 charge - it claimed auto-renewal still active from its end while I had checked a few rounds to make sure it's not ticked.

Not a bad job for TIO :)

Shame on Lyca Mobile & its customer service Pasupa* :(

  • This is a scam deal.. been burnt twice already. Physical SIM cards never arrived, Lyca just give bs reasons like auspost delay/lost. The fact is they never sent it out. CS tells me because the deal is no longer available the backend office did not send out SIM cards wtf! Anyone experienced similar issues?

    • Were you able to get them to send out replacement? mine hasn't arrived neither for this one. Previous orders were okay.

      • Nope they said not possible. Your previous arrived orders had profit after cashback? I reckon Lyca is doing this on purpose as they realised the deal was a mistake. Last deal was in December 2024 - never received physical SIM card in mail this is a bs company be careful everyone.

        • No it's not a mistake, Lyca uses this doggy method ON PURPOSE to trap new users & to keep ACCESSing their bank accounts when you believe you stopped its service.
And deliberately delay the sim cards delivery properly save its payment to its wholesaler.
Got be very careful for anyone considering it :/
