Groupon: 12% Cashback (Uncapped) @ TopCashback AU

360

Hi Everyone!

I was booking some Dracula tickets and saw that TCB has a 12% cashback with seemingly no cap.

Exclusions
- Cashback is not eligible on Goods purchases
- Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
- Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards for payment and/or purchase of gift cards.

Groupon have a promo code with the code "PROMO" that can't be used with this from the looks of it. Hopefully I haven't missed anything! Can't see an end date on this promo either.

Yeah i used shopback and i think promo codes worked. if you wait then groupon does 15 to 20% promo codes

    • if you wait then groupon does 15 to 20% promo codes

Just my experience: I get email about this code very frequently, unfortunately even if I use it on the same day (or even hours or minutes) after the email arrives, it will throw up message that it is expired, "but why don't you use this other code for 5%". So it seems like a tactic to make you to check and add the deal, and last moment when you apply the code, it says it is expired. For a while I thought maybe I wasn't picking the exact deals as displayed in the email. Turns out even if a deal is explicitly advertised with the 20%, the same thing happens. (Yes, years ago, I have had the 20% promo worked before, but no luck in the past year up till now.) So seems like nothing more than a marketing tactic.

If it works for others, then good on them! Cashback method for discount is perhaps more assured.

Same experience here, they send me 20% codes all the time and none of them ever seem to work but it offers you a default 5% discount alternative. An absolute marketing scam and their customer service duck & weave around the issue with generic scripted replies. Time for the ACCC to stamp out these dodgy practices.

*Just had a look. Looks like it is Lux Escapes + 10%.

  • Is there any actual deals on Groupon though?

The Boozebud ones were elite back in the day - they ended up blacklisting me lol
