Got one of these earlier in the year. It's ok, the split in the middle that allows it to fold its incredibly annoying. The carpet seems thin but despite daily use has actually stood up. Would I buy it again? No. It's an ok product though
I agree that the split is slightly annoying, but for deeper carpets I haven’t found anything that works as well as this (without it being glass).

Yup that's very true. My carpet is quite thick which probably doesn't help. My next mat is likely to be a glass pool panel as has been suggested by a few on here. I'm contemplating getting one now and putting it on this one
Yeah, the split in the middle is annoying. My dikilong gets stuck in there.
Can recommend. Needed something to protect my hardwood floors and bought the 59 inch mat. It's a solid stiff material and very heavy so it stays in place.

It's quite expensive for what I thought I'd spend but i can see it outlasting the thin plastic stuff for way longer and doing a much better job. If you work from home, I'd recommend something like this.
I have one and like it, it's a thin carpet with a hard backing that actually works quite well for chairs with wheels. Much better than a plastic mat. I have it on a hard floor so it lies perfectly flat, haven't had any issues with the folding split in the middle. Would buy again
So would laminate flooring (say a box worth ) be better than this? As Bunnings often have run out sales
