The most horrendous Airline. Never go to Guangzhou.

    • Actually they are good.

I have always experienced pleasant experience flying to europe stopping over guangzhou.

This sentence sounds like from China Southern's onboard entertainment screen!

        • I feel like chicken tonight, chicken tonight!

      Never go to Guangzhou.

If you do go to Guangzhou though, don't forget to visit the 'Anti-Japanese Memorial Cemetery'

  • Thats not true

    • It's not $1220 then ???

      • Ahah

        • You keep us hanging.

I flew them and they were great! Food was excellent, legroom seemed better than usual and luggage allowance was 64kg. Iā€™d definitely fly them again.

      and luggage allowance was 64k

      Wow… That's enough for 1 goat and 6 chickens !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 Pangolins would also fit if the armour is removed

        • true… thanks.

1 goat and 9 chickens. I checked. It seemed suspiciously specific.

        • Sure, if they are small chickens, that should be fine…

You can also take two chickens as carry-on on China Southern….

Please add these to the description of the deal.

        • Yes, it's definitely one of the perks of the deal.
Not available if flying Qantas… šŸ˜”

Good to see Chinese airlines back in business, they are the ones that result in everyone else having to drop their prices and the flight times are generally comparable (although there are some longish/sometimes up to a full day stop over connections if you dont pay attention)

Not for EU flights, that would be airlines like Qatar Airways, but Albo prefers to protect Qantas's profits and get free chairman's lounge passes for his family rather than save money for Australian families…

      • Imagine trying to debate politics on Ozbargain šŸ¤£

        • More common sense here than in parliament…

Funnily enough, CAN is pretty much exactly on the route between SYD and LHR.

I've flown with them twice. I've to Nepal, other to Paris. Never again.

Nepal, other to Paris. Never again.

Agree, one time is enough for both Nepal and Paris. So many other cities to see…

I flew to london with them and the return flight was delayed for a few hours, they put us up in a hotel and gave us food vouchers, then i made a claim for the delay and was compensated. the european standard is between ā‚¬250 - ā‚¬600 depending on time or distance. I was only out of pocket for my time, maybe 6 hours.
The food on the flight was good. Guangzhou airport was quite small but fine for a stop over.

  • If you have Priority Pass, Guangzhou has a really great lounge.
