Microsoft 365 Personal - 1 Year Subscription (Potentially 15 Months) - $77 @ Bing Lee eBay

220
HGTSAVE

Bing Lee and Amazon both have the 1 year personal subscription at $87 (RRP $99)

Use code HGTSAVE at EBAY checkout to save a further $10 and bring the price down to $77

Bing Lee will send you the code via email/EBAY message.

When I activated the 2 codes Bing Lee sent me I got 15 months x2 of subscription rather than 12 months. Not sure why so YMMV…..

does this stack with current subscription

    • +2

I believe so. Not sure how many times but pretty sure 2 years ago I bought 2 and stacked them for 2 years.

thanks i recently paid RRP for another 12-mo but i stacked this on top got 15-mo so im set till early 2026

Yes, you can stack up to 5 years total. So if you have a current sub with a year or less remaining, you can buy and stack an additional 4 yearly subs.

      • +3

I just stacked 2 codes bought in this offer. They both gave 15 months of subscription so my subscription now expires 29 April 2026

  • Arond $128 for f amily with EBAYPLUS

      $104 at SaveOnIT for family

      • +1

If you buy say 3 personals, activate them, then activate family - do you get 4 years of family?

        • Yep

        • It worked when I stacked 4 personal keys. 5th key was family. total all up 5yrs family.

          • @noshopping: Was that stacking personal and then a final famiy recently? I read that they plugged that loophole on another thread somewhere here on Ozb.

            • @Borg: yes. 4 personal, final one family. did it around jan this year, not sure if its since been plugged.

              • @noshopping: I think it has been plugged but happy to be told otherwise.

      • Great thanks

      • How are you getting $104? I can't get it below $112 with any of the coupons

        • +1

          via email option here

    • I think it's $128 for family with Microsoft online store, and employee discount I have is auto-renewing for $94 per year, if I recall correctly. Means this is cheaper and longer sub than both. Good deal OP

    • Unfortunately Family sharing now forces the recipient of shared licence into "family group" which is not suitable for everyone. MS changed terms earlier this year and it is no longer possible to share licence without adding to the family group.

Does it get any cheaper for personal subscription? Gauging if I should stack it up to 5 years (for example)?

  • I don't understand why you guys give money away to a greedy corporation when you can get free office packages?
Office used to be pay and get you own hard copy, now you pay subscriptions like you pay a life loan to M$crosoft, what will be next?
WPF Office (and there are tonnes more suites out there):

I'm paying for the storage and the other stuff is a bonus

    • +4

I used to try the open source versions all the time. These days it's better to use Microsoft as you use it at work and it's better to get familiar with them early so you can get your work done fast as well as be efficient

I guess because Microsoft Office is the corporate standard in most major corporations as well as schools.

I want my kids to get used to using the same software they will use at school and work.

I guess because Microsoft Office is the corporate standard in most major corporations as well as schools.

That’s the only reason they can get away with making this software subscription based.

        • +2

Like others, I'm paying because it's good value cloud storage. 'Free' included Office is a bonus.

They are your kids and it's your duty and right to decide for them, but corporate is grappling more and more on people's rights.
In fact, they start from schools where you're supposed to be educated not monopolized, they make agreements with schools to lure them into buying (with greedy benefits for both) either M$crosoft or @pple, Adobe or else.
Educate you kids that monopoly tactics will force you to buy what corporate wants to not what you want or need.
Look at what is happening with Youtube, now you must allow SPAM and so disable the block in the browser or you won't be able to watch Youtube anymore.
WRONG! I logged out of my account and I disabled cookies in the browser because I'm the owner of my asset and with my money I decide what to do.
There are also several clients that allow you to watch Youtube without heading to their web page.

        • +2

Just use tampermonkey script to block the annoying YouTube disable ad block pop up and continue to watch YouTube without ads

Spare me. I suppose you are paranoid about the government too, right?

      • But it's free for .edu accounts (school/uni accounts) anyways. Not like you have to pay for your 3 year old toddler to learn how to write their CV using Ms. Word yet (not until they start school atleast).

      • +2

I get this but you can use both - MS stuff when it's "free" and alternatives when not.

My kids have MS on their school laptops but everything else at home is Libre and they seem to manage well. A small learning curve but they get twice the exposure and understand MS is not the all and end all.

just wondering if it's okay to pay subscription to big corporations like Amazon, Netflix, Spotify, you know the ones that just resell other people creations, as opposed to Microsoft who genuinely sipport and develop their products?

  • Tempting for storage, as my Google storage is 99% full. Worth buying more than 1, or it will get cheaper in one year?

    • It usually goes up in price each year. This used to be $99 via Microsoft direct and since increased a few months back to $109.

  • Interesting when I activated my 2 codes I got 2 x 15 month subscriptions not a 2 x 12 months.

I still haven't enabled recurring billing either which sometimes gives bonus months….

I got that for 15usd. I have friend in microsoft and he created friend and family store account for me and this is available for 15usd in that.

    • +2

Great deal. Can you create more friend accounts?

      • I dont have the option to create it but can check with my friend.

        • I want to have a microsoft work account :)

          • @Bii: Microsoft isn't what it used to be

    • +1

      cool story bro

  • +2

Just an FYI - Google “Microsoft Workplace Discount Programme“, and you can see if you’re able to access this using a work email address. Recurring sub @ 30% off - Personal $76.30/Family $97.30 a year, no need to commit to multiple years in one go.

Not as good as the HUP which was a free perpetual copy previously, but better than nothing if you need O365.

The 15 months OP got seems like a nice bonus though if everyone gets it!

Thanks a lot! Just claimed using work email. My work finally means more than just pain in the ass today.

    • This is the way. Also, as a heads up, but if you have a trial version already this will make it a full version, but also if you download a trial version of a specific version that you want, it'll make it a full version too. I got my wife and I the latest full version by doing this and it's been great

Nobody is buying this for Office, this plan is for 1TB of auto-syncing storage.

It just happens to come with a free copy of Office too.

    • Using MAS is downloading script. How do you know that malware isn't being injected via the script?

  • Here I am using Google docs for the better part of ~7 years or using a .edu account to they free office when needed.

FYI, you can use the turkey apple app store onedrive app to upgrade to Personal Subscription at 15.99 TRY/month and Family at 22.99/month which turns out to A$10.8/Year and A$15.48/year but monthly payment though. You can topup your apple id balance with giftcards from turgame.

    • Did this last year and added about 4 years worth of giftcards to it :)

  • Just google.MAS github. Follow instructions and get free office

The hack to convert personal to family no longer works like it did.

My 2 x Personal gave me an expiry of 30 April 2026.

I added 1 x Family and my new expiry is December 2026….

So I got 7.5 months of family instead of 12 months…. Still works out cheaper than buying 3x Family - but it's not as good as it used to be….

You are currently subscribed to Microsoft 365 Personal but the product key entered is for Microsoft 365 Family. If you continue, your subscription will be converted to Microsoft 365 Family.

    What happens then?

Any time remaining on your Microsoft 365 Personal subscription will be prorated towards your new Microsoft 365 Family subscription and may result in less time being added than you currently have remaining. Learn more on how this works.

The changes to the existing subscription are final and non-refundable. Your new expiry date will be 14 December 2026.

You can also choose to wait until your current subscription expires before switching. Simply hold on to your product key and return here once your current subscription ends on 30 April 2026.

    • I tested and it works fine when adding the code i.e. Voucher/coupon HGTSAVE Applied $10 off. Perhaps try a different browser.
