JAWS was a horror movie, now it's a freakin' golden book? Wow…. do they also have THE EXORCIST as a golden book?

You mean this is serious? I thought it was a joke book, maybe Deep Throat, Shallow Hal next.

In a fit of insanity I bought a copy of “Master Snickup’s Coat” for one of my nephews. Fortunately I read it before I tried to give it to him. It ends up with everyone getting the Plague and the men “castrated themselves and flung their severed genitals into the hopeless sky to placate an angry God”. That would’ve been some fast talking to placate his parents.

It is beautifully illustrated by a guy who worked on Labyrinth and Dark Crystal but it, certainly, isn’t a children’s book. It reminds me a bit of Hieronymus Bosch.

I'd like to see how they 'reimagine' people being bitten in half by a great white.

    • If you can read, you're old enough to know' you're not the biggest thing in the ocean xD

When I went to saw Jaws at the cinema I had trouble swimming in our backyard pool. I was 16 when that film was released.

        • I still have a fear of gremlims fused with little kid from pet semetary, everywhere i've lived has always had a set of those stairs where you can see / reach through from under them…

          • @jonathonsunshine: My two cats like to stare intently into the distance, sometimes accompanied by a growl. WTF?

When I as a kid I saw a movie with two women sharing a room in a haunted house and it was dark. One asked the other to hold her hand because she was scared. A little while later she asked the other lady to not squeeze her hand so tight. The other lady said “I’m not holding your hand”. I’ve slept with my hands under the covers since then.

The jump out and go boo films are much scarier than the blood and gore ones. What happens in the imagination is worse than the special effects.
