Bonus $1100 Gift Card with JB Hi-Fi Mobile $99 300GB Per Month 24-Month Plan (New/Port-in, in-Store/Call Back) @ JB Hi-Fi

80

The days of 12 month plans with decent vouchers are gone. For those willing to accept that then I bring you this deal.

Not as good as this but better than that $1000 they were offering.

I need to get out of my in-between plan to get back onto telstra so this is as good as it gets for me.

JB Hi-Fi Mobile powered by Telstra.

  • To only those who really need to get on the plan. Otherwise a big-no-no.

$1100 GC sell for assume $1000 (more likely $950)

    $99 x 24 - $1000 = $57.33pm locked in for 2yrs

  • I pay $70~ a month now with telstra, any way i can sign up to the jb $70~ variant and get the $450 gift card? or am i misunderstanding?

    • It's not offered for current Telstra customers, usually you would have to port out to another provider (Optus or Vodafone) for a few days and then port your number back with JB. That way you will most likely be considered a new customer.

      • that's what i thought, hope onto aldi mobile for a month then back to JB for telstra

need to ban these for a while, not really a deal, might kill their sales and open up 12mo contracts again….

    • Meh it's like interest rates - no point waiting for them to drop before you enter the market. Just do the best you can with prevailing conditions.

And at the moment this is as good as it's gonna get and has been like this for a while…

Get the voda deal if you're getting an iphone

      Skodaphone? No thank you.

    • which deal is that?

  • +6

Ahh remember the good ol days where you’d get this on a $49 plan for 12 months.. Pepperidge Farm remembers.

    • It was good until everyone abused the deal and started cancelling their plans the next day. I know at least 3 people who have been banned from buying plans at JB for this exact reason. Ruined it for everyone!

          preeeeeeettty much.

      • just out of curiosity, how much does the cancellation penalty amount to?

        • +1

You would have to check their terms and conditions policy, they keep changing because people keep cancelling lol

          • @itsmoe: Thanks, just checked, the website shows (using outdated information) $800 voucher on the $99 plan and the maximum voucher penalty to be repaid of $800 as well, albeit prorated. So guess its 100%.

Except the repayment might be cash whereas you were only given a gift card that not worth more than 85-90% of its face value.

            • @nsingh21: Yeh I think they fixed up the loop hole that people were exploiting a little while ago, the cancellation fee was only like $400-500 bux so everything was jumping on this deal. No one wants it now unless they are genuinely interested in the plan lol

              • @itsmoe: why pay for data/calls when Boost pays YOU for using data/calls

                • +1

@nsingh21: Yeh I've been with Belong for the last couple of years and I have about 1.8Tb of data in my data bank. I keep giving data away to friends and family when they need it.

                  • @itsmoe: Nice, I've been on Telstra's annual plan. Moving forward from this Dec, probably will park that number for $10/yr plan and go effectively cost free with Boost (again, I always wonder how the heck they make money).

This will be $1400 gift card starting tomorrow FYI (from catalogue).

    • +1

      Now that's tempting

    • Can you still ask support for $10-$20 off per month?

      • +1

How long is a piece of string !

    • Out of curiousity how did you know about the new catalogue? it's not even on their website yet….

      • This catalogue supposedly out by tomorrow morning

        • I meant how did he get the link to it before it's even listed on their website…

      • +4

You can just find the catalogue generally using the following URL modification:

        URL Format: https://catalogue.jbhifi.com.au/2023/MM/DD-MMM-XX/index.html

        1. Update the MM, DD and MMM for the relevant period that the catalogue begins (every Thursday, so just + 7 days onto the previous one unless you need to update the month.) E.G This one is 11th Month, 02 Day, Nov period.
        2. In the XX section, they generally use an iteration of the following cat, pf, sp, mm or others depending on the catalogue name.

Then just try your luck to find it after approx 3pm AEDT each Wednesday, and should generally work after a few tries.

        • neat trick to know, thanks for sharing mate!

        • What a legend! Very neat trick!

Still couldn't warrant spending $100.00 monthly for two years . Try doing this on a pension !

    • Now that’s a way better deal!

  • So my girlfriend sign up but her number hasn’t been ported over from Vodafone yet, does she need to leave the old Vodafone SIM card in it, i through Vodafone sent a sms to the number so you had to verify you wanted to port?
