Cygnett MagHold Magnetic Car Window Mount $20 + $9 Delivery ($0 C&C/ $60 Order) @ Target (Price Beat from $19 @ Officeworks)

90

Not sure who would really want one these days, as it only holds the phone but not charges it. It's on clearance at Target, and it's a pretty good price - usually it's around $50 (not that anyone would ever pay that). It comes with a stick-on magnetic ring for non-MagSafe phones but review suggests it's not the best so it's probably best to use only MagSafe phones. It's OOS in Target stores, but available with delivery or C&C at selected stores after a few business days. Officeworks has much better availability, if you are heading down the price beat path (which I did this morning).

  • I have the wireless charger version and the mount broke, cheap way to keep it alive, cheers!

    • How long have you had yours for? They have a 2-year warranty so may be it’s worth checking.

      • It came broken and my Mrs lost the receipt as she got it for me as a gift, the air vent mount doesn't really work on my car anyway.

  • Wow, they are getting cheap. We have recently started Amagnamate which is quite similar (but I think slightly better).

Ours are 24.99 with delivery for the airvent version so tough to compete.

    • What makes yours better?

      • The one we have that goes on the widscreen comes with a dashboard attachment too, unfortunately no posts about it yet but the arm can be adjusted in terms of the angle as well as the holder being able to move up and down.
        (Also cooler name)

      • Target no stock anywhere in BNE, one star rating.

I have used this for about a year and while it's okay, I won't pick it up again for $20. The screw in the suction cup became loose by the third month, making the mount very rattly and noisy. Having the phone on the mount acted as counterweight so it didn't bother me as much.

Recently switched to the ESR Halolock and it's miles better, in terms of magnetic strength and stability (albeit still early days).
