  • Can we use gift card to pay and also use the 5% off perks

    • Yes you can. Present the 5% off code first. There's also an offer where you can get 15% off a Baratza grinder when purchased in the same transaction.

      • Thanks!

Harvey Norman have it for $999.00 but you also get Bonus 10% in Gift Cards, in this case ($99.90)

unlike the previous offer of the bonus gift card where you had a short period to use the gift card, these ones have 3 years expiry

Bear in mind there’s a new version with improvements to seals.. I don’t know how to tell the difference. Old ones leak after a couple if years normally…

    • +3

New models started to be manufactured about 16 months ago so it's safe to assume all stock should be the new model.

      • There was an update in 2018 where they changed the water filter holder and a better descale process.

I got mine in 2018 and never had a problem with seals.

Is this the same update ?

        • No, the update jacko is referring to wouldnt have been on your machine if you bought it in 2018.

          • @keejoonc: Correct,I have the 2018 with changes to filter and it leaks. There is a newer revision.

        • +3

Here's the new update and how you can identify it. I bought this model in May this year and it was the newer model. Essentially they got rid of the cheapo washers they used with better ones https://coffeesnobs.com.au/forum/equipment/brewing-equipment…

          • @Jacko1235: Thanks for the info, very useful to know.

      • Yup. And seeing as these have been out of stock for the past few months, I think it's even safer to assume.

    • Can confirm mine started to leak from O-ring after 1.5 years usage, it was purchased in May22, i just got my unit repaired under warranty this week.

I checked the serial number per @Jacko1235 method, it was pre 2228 (28th weeks in 2022).

DF64 or VS3 to pair with this machine?

    • From all the reviews i've been reading, DF64 Gen2 ftw.
If you're getting the VS3, try and get local. I've ready (a few) reports of the gears failing.

      • +1

I'm leaning towards the VS3 as it costs a bit cheaper and does all different grind types

Fair enough. The VS3 has a great range of aftermarket burrs, and being conical, the flavour profiles it produces are supposed to be great. You can't go wrong either ways :)

    • Why not Niche Duo and Niche Zero? Would pair brilliantly.

      • budget doesn't stretch that far unfortunately

      • it's almost double the cost of either of those machines… definitely not budget friendly :D

You should be able to land the Niche Zero here for under $1000 direct from Niche assuming shipping is still around 50 pounds.

        Corolla or Mazda 3?

        Why not BMW 3 series?

i was thinking of pairing with the Eureka Mignon Specialita 55 Coffee Grinder

    • I’m waiting for DF64 gen 2 to see local pricing but my other option is to just get a Mignon Specialita and buy some of the single dose mods available online.

I think by the end of November the DF64 Gen 2 should be landing at Alt Brewing

    OzBargain starter pack coffee machine

Bought one on Wednesday from a JB Hi-Fi in VIC and the batch code was 2327 so they have some pretty fresh stock

  • Are the machines supposed to be super loud ? It sounds like a key engine taking off.. not sure if there's an error or it's just normal ??
