    • TL;DR;
Good: unblocks most streaming services, lots of countries supported.
Bad: slow international servers. 1-2mbs in some cases.

      • 1-2 mb/s or mbps?

      • I'm using the Australian server. And it's currently pulling 6.3MB/s download from the USA which maxes out my FTTN connection.

  • I bought a lifetime sub some time ago. Unfortunately i couldn't install their client on Windows as the internet security flagged the installer as potential malware. It must happen to every one as even this reviewer claimed it was flagged as potentially a virus. It might be a false positive.

I had purchased this lifetime subscription with a 30day moneyback guarantee around November, 2022. The interface was not good, and the overall the vpn service was poor. So, I contacted ivpnpro online customer services to apply for the 30 day refund. I had recorded the live chat, where I was promised it would be done within 2 working days. On another occasion was told a different duration.

I forwarded the chats to paypal saying that it was not an honest transaction and they were not honouring their commitment. Paypal got the refund.

So, with those deals with surfshark givingg 90 odd plus cashback was signed up instead, and it is worth it. No issues, even the interface and vpn service is top notch.

  • is 2tb internet for lifetime?

  • din't found India in the servers list on their website.

  • "Lifetime" 😂😂😂
    Their lifetime or your lifetime?

Decided to give the 7 day $2 trial a whirl, can verify the windows app gets flagged as malware. If you manage to get it downloaded it refuses to establish a connection to any of the servers. You can use the OpenVPN client to get it going on windows, it seems to work okay and I understand that many people prefer to use vpns that way anyway. All the documentation says that you can self manage your payment details (eg turn off automatic payments so I don't go onto a USD$25p/a plan after my trials up) but no such settings are exposed to me anywhere, have poked around on the website account management as well as the windows and Android apps, I'll have to talk to support to cancel by the looks. I was intending to take advantage of this deal if I could establish even basic function before I commited, and was prepared to deal with the high jank levels but not giving me a way to manage my payments is probably a step too far for me.

Found an unsubscribe button last night in a link that didn't work when I first wrote the above post. Since then the connection hasn't been stable enough to make me want to use it long term.

    • iProVPN just released an emailed statement confirming the windows app installer being flagged as malware issue. And that they've just released a new windows app that's digitally signed which doesn't get detected as malware. It must be because the previous app installer wasn't digitally signed and for some reason the antimalware apps kept thinking it was malware because of it. So apparently it's not an issue now.

This is what was sent to me today.

      "Hey there!

We understand that some customers previously experienced certain issues with the iProVPN app for Windows, where anti-virus software detect iProVPN as a malware during installation . We’d first like to apologize for the inconvenience faced.

Our team has fully updated the Windows app via EV code signing and New Installer and ensure you that the app’s issue is completely resolved.

We would also like to add that new feature updates will be coming within a month, where the Windows app will have Split-Tunneling, Dedicated IP, extra streaming servers, and more. Expect nothing but the best soon!"

      Regards,
      iProVPN

  • Yeah i tried the new Windows client app installer which they just released. It now downloads a .MSI file which is digitally signed. It installs fine without the internet security software accidentally picking it up as malware as a false positive. So it's all good now. This is to let you all know. Make sure that the windows client is set as the protocol to UDP mode as it works best that way.
