Yeah, the 5% coupon with 10% off gc gave a better deal than this.

      • How does that work. Keen to know please

        • The 5% coupon is over, was on a few days ago. Often Woolies/Coles will sell those TCN/Ultimate GC which can be used at JB, and they're often at 10% off.

We're hanging on to there being a better deal for Black Friday, so…

  • Showing as $1614 for me

  • Highly recommend the "Fly More Plus" combo over this, the battery life is so much better.

    • Does take you over 250g which puts you in a different category for rules and regulations.

      • Yes, but you still have the one smaller battery for when that's important. Gives more flexibility.

        • All the listings I've seen where you buy the whole kit in one go seem to indicate you get three of the plus batteries, none of the standard.

          • @kwchaz: interesting, you seem to be correct. in that case may be worth getting the fly more pack separately if the price is decent. or just cross your fingers and assume the cops won't pull out a set of scales and weigh your drone lol.

  • Should I wait till Black Friday deals?….

Downside of drones in Victoria is there are so many places like national parks it is prohibited to fly them, with big fines if you are caught :(

    and

So often you see people posting drone footage taken in national parks or similar in Victoria on social media. Unfortunately they are setting themselves up for big fines :(

I rarely use my drone because of this for photography :( :(

    • I’m really looking to buy one, but i’d be saving up for some time. I do live in Victoria and this would be my first $150+ drone. I’m a little skeptical on if I would or even could use it enough for it to be worth it. Part of me just wants to go for a Mini 2 or a very nice Mini 3 Pro clearance deal.

PS. Do you know if it’s legal to:
      1. Fly over a busy road (I imagine not)
      2. Fly over a empty rail track/train station.

        https://www.casa.gov.au/knowyourdrone/drone-rules

#1 seems to be a no, #2 possibly ok - though I suspect if it's an active track, and "the authorities" notice you doing so, they may argue you may possible fly it into the overhead lines and that would be dangerous.

Damn thanks for letting me know. Though I doubt any authorities would catch me, I think if I have a solid distance it should be okay. Its a real shame we don’t have the nicer relaxed laws that the US has.
