I thought the ideas of a balance bike was for the child to learn how to balance? An electric version sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

My boy is 6. He hasn't been as exposed to bikes in his life as much as I intended. His school is walking distance but I've often thought given we go there with him…what's the perfect electric bike for his age. I know it need not be electric but I know as we do more and more with it he'll enjoy that option a lot more. Anyone know the best if what's out there?
He isn't my child, but if he was I wouldn't buy him an electric bike. This one on offer doesn't even have pedals.
IMO the rider has more control over the bike when pedalling, and learns to appreciate the nuances of accelerating / slowing / braking / etc.
Sorry, but an e-bike for a 6yo is illegal, dangerous, and arguably irresponsible. It is no substitute for whatever you feel guilty about. Just get a normal bike, or a tag-along.
A throttle-bike like the above is even worse. You might consider a legal e-scooter that is limited to 10km/hr. But even those seem to send a lot of kids to hospital, compared to a bicycle.

normal price for the 12" was $699 for the 16" it was $799. nothing misleading!
These are illegal to ride on footpaths in Vic as they exceed 10km/hr
