  too bad this isnt a third generation i5. Also, this model only has the Intel HD graphics 3000 not the AMD radeon, which is the more expensive model.

    Yes, it's very misleading. The model number on the GG page is for the Mac mini 2.3GHz Core 2 Duo/2GB while the description is for the i5 model.

      I think that model number does match up with the i5 after all which means that this page on Apple's website is wrong:

    WEblink gives the model number MC815X-A which is the intel thing, still, $100 cheaper than JB

  Not a huge price reduction when you consider the ubiquitous 10% off Apple deals, but may indicate an overdue refresh for mini range is coming. The rumours are very strong about an iMac refresh (with anti-reflective screens!!!), but both may come together. We'll find out soon.

  True, but with low end Apple gear lots of people are willing to sacrifice specs just to get a vehicle for the OS. Many people scarred by Windows grief over the years - and let's not forget the people from back in the day who installed Windows ME who are still aimlessly wandering the streets at night howling at the moon!
