Jeez that 5070 build is tempting.

  • What's this CPU like? Got a mate who says he has a budget of $1300 but want to get him to stretch it a bit more.

    • Seems to be a 7600x without the iGPU

  • What is the CL on the RAM? Rhats a pretty important detail imo.

    • +2

I went by the PC Part Picker listing of CL38

      • That was a good idea. OOF the RAM's not the best.

    • +2

      Hi it's CL38.

What's the deal with these weird ITX deals?

The Onyx can't have the only decent GPU (the 4060ti 16GB as all the other options are 8GB which isn't great value in 2025) while the other Nanocore Elite has barely any options to have black parts so if you want to match the GPU colour to the rest of the system it's impossible.

Also, I find it a little bit dodgy to have the images of the PC's containing upgraded parts (peerless assassin cooler when the base build has a stock cooler, different motherboard so that the colours match and it looks nice compared to the white Maxsun one). For someone who isn't all that computer literate they will just order thinking they are getting the PC in the picture only to get something that looks nothing like it and way uglier and end up disappointed.

Final point, the amount of ram on the 5060 is not even listed (it's the 8GB if anyone was wondering) I assume this was done because the RTX 5060 8GB has a pretty bad name so they are just leaving it ambiguous and hoping people mistake it for a 16GB or go read reviews about it RTX 5060's and end up reading about the 16GB ones or something…

I dunno, all feels a little underhanded is all :'(

    • +3

Defiantly agree with the images of the upgraded parts, would be good to see what your pc looks like for the advertised price. I believe the 5060 is only 8GB, 5060ti is 8GB/16GB

      • +2

Opps, right you are about the RTX 5060 being only 8GB, that's my bad (and also Nvidia's bad, 8GB in 2025, what a scam).

        • +1

May aswell wait for the 9060xt 16GB to compare the pair, its out June 5th so hopefully its somewhere near retail price and may be a better option or atleast bring down the price of nvidia 5060's 5060ti's

    • +1

      Absolutely agree.
I want to buy the 5060 build but not 8GB VRAM. Happy to pay extra for 16GB but itโ€™s not available.

  • Why dies this post give mega ChatGPT vibes. The emojis are always so overused by it

  • Hi Galapower,

Any chance the boxes of the parts can be posted as well? I normally collect them on the shelf!! I'm from WA.

    • Hi yes sure. Just leave a note when place the order.

      • Hi Galapower,

Thank you for that!! It will be amazing if my order includes the original boxes.

I was looking at the 5060 and 5070 deals. They both have the Team T-Create Expert Black 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz DDR5 as base ram. The 5060 (Pulse) deal has Corsair Vengeance RGB Grey 32GB (2x16GB) 6400MHz DDR5 for an extra $45.90 but not the 5070 (Pulse Pro) deal. Any chance the Pulse Pro can have that option too?

Also, is there any chance for an AIO CPU cooler option for aesthetics?

  • Nice but will wait on another BYO GPU deal.

  • +2

just wanted to add a thank you to the team at Gala. I had a system built with them a month ago and the turn around time was terrific. I was really happy being able to choose the components myself and add various upgrades - they even upgraded me to 64B RAM which was unexpected! Definitely will use them again

  • The GPU listed for the 5070 deal is out of stock? Deal needs to be updated?

    • +1

      Just restocked!

      • any restock on the default case?

        • Hi just restocked!

  • good deal on 5070, bought

  • What's the lead time for the 5070?

    • Hi currently our lead time is 4-5 business day.

  • Any chance of a 5080 deal again - was just about to pull the trigger on the Oak X but want to upgrade to the 5080.

  • Just sharing my experience with a unit called Aether I bought from GalaPower.

The mini ITX unit came with the same MAXSUN motherboard advertised in this post. I ruled out the location and the mini ITX case as the issue, and concluded that the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on this MAXSUN board suffer from low signal strength. I resorted to using a Wi-Fi dongle and not using Bluetooth, which is a pity. My unit also did not come with a power cable, which also has to be L-shaped to fit the design of the case. No other issues so far.

    • concluded that the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on this MAXSUN board suffer from low signal strength.

Motherboard wireless comes on the same mini PCIe card as you'll find in a laptop, it's not part of the Motherboard - the signal strength depends on the antennas connected to the discrete card. Did you have the two antennas screwed into the IO panel on the back of the board, and did you check the antenna connections were tight onto the Wifi card ?

      • Thanks for replying to my post.

The MAXSUN spec says "Onboard Realtek 8852BE WiFi 6 with Bluetooth 5.2". Thanks to you, I just noticed the two antenna connections, but my purchase did not come with antennas.

In comparison, my aging Dell XPS desktop has onboard WiFi but doesn't suffer from low signal strength.

        • but my purchase did not come with antennas.

This is a problem ๐Ÿ˜ฌ You definately need the antennas connected !
