    so $2.5?

  • Guess this is for those who didnt take up the offer in June. Also received this $2.50 offer.

Collect 500 points with the free Food Tracker! in email received 15/6/23

    • Linky and unlinky…

      • +1

        $2.50 for selling your data.
        I decided not to.

Other Rewards offers at that time for up to 25,000pts were far more attractive & little effort. Took those up💰

And received 2000pt for 1c min spend last few weeks. Much easier.

        • I have learnt over the last few years every large EDR points deal is worth it. Then linky unlinky.

          • @ilovefullprice: But this is a small EDR points deal.
If it's under 1000, goes straight to bin.

            • @INFIDEL: It was big for me together with this deal:

              https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/810034

              • @ilovefullprice: Each week I receive 2000pt for $40 spend, or better.

Posted Rewards offer a while back for 16,000pt for 8c min spend.

                • +1

@INFIDEL: These are also all targeted deals, not everyone get the same deals as you do.

                  • @ilovefullprice: Just as this Deal is targeted😉
Am targeted each week with better offers😄

                    • @INFIDEL: They have targeted people like me right! 😄

@ilovefullprice: Enjoy the marketing from Healthylife you agree to in the T&C in this Deal.

                        I don't agree to that for a measely $2.50.

                        • +1

@INFIDEL: Are you listening? Linky unlinky.

                          • @ilovefullprice: Yes - More effort than 500pts is worth to me!

                            And T&C:
subscribe with your email address to receive Food Tracker marketing communications during the promotional period and remain opted in to receive these communications until the end of the promotional period.

I got the email. It sounded like too much work for $2.5 ..

  • Does not give any instructions on how to link

    • +3

From what I gather, it should be this:

You can link Food Tracker by clicking the tab “Discover” -> click “Food Tracker by Healthylife” in the Everyday Rewards app. Then to subscribe your email address to receive Food Tracker marketing communications, click on the “three lines” bubble on the top right corner of the Food Tracker by Healthylife site that you open within the Everyday Rewards app -> click “Communication settings” and enter your email address.

The Food Tracker is actually really interesting. We shop exclusively at Woolies (there are no Coles within 30 mins of where I live), so linking to the Food Tracker has some really interesting insights into our shopping habits.

Received this offer but I don't get out of bed for anything less than 2000 points

    • +1

I signed up laying in bed

      • Nicee, hopefully you had the remaining 1500pts banked already to use.

  • +1

Needs to be at least 5000 points

  • Basically 500 points for consent to provide your data to Healthy life. Well doesn't hurt I guess considering Woolies is already doing it behind the scenes.

  • If you intend to use the Tracker to check how healthy your diet is…
(Rather than just grabbing the points & leaving, as suggested by the OP.)

It will only track your Woolies purchases, but only if you scan the same Rewards card linked to the Tracker - every time you shop.

So its very easy to present yourself as eating healthy by:
*Buying unhealthy "sometimes" food elsewhere (like the many sugary Amazon Deals here, or at another store)
*Not including all those fast foods or food deliveries consumed - not usually considered healthy.
*Or just not scan / not scan the same Rewards card, when making unhealthy choices.

Far too easy to mislead / convince yourself everything is good with your purchases… When it isn't!

Sourcing heathy foods elsewhere (eg fresher fruit & vegies at farmers market, harvesting your own, etc) would have the opposite effect!
Making your diet seem a lot more unhealthy when it isn't! That's not right!

So tonight's snack of yummy Nattō (fermented soybeans), purchased from Korean shop opposite Woolies - would not be recognised by Tracker for it's known health benefits! Only the salad ingredients from Woolies would…

It's possibly accurate only if ALL you eat is purchased at Woolworths!!
    Doubt anyone does that!!

Somehow that doesn't seem healthy on many levels😜

Food Tracker is primarily a MARKETING TOOL for Woolies.
    …to increase Woolies sales & profits💰
…to ensure people scan their Rewards card with every purchase.
…and ensures you want to shop at Woolies every time.
(So that all that data is logged to the Tracker & Woolies systems.)

While making out it's for our health benefit😉

For years, I have posted the benefits of having more than 1 Rewards Account.

*You receive more & different offers.
*By splitting spend across cards & ONLY scanning for good offers (at least 1000 pts), I've found I receive more good offers each week on my $40-50 weekly spend.

Tracker won't work if you do that.

Picked up 2840pts tonight on a $40 spend of healthy food. And 500 pts on another card for just a 50c tomato.
Tracker can't handle that. But I like it😉

As Tracker intends to lock us into only Woolies purchases, it can't include spends in other supermarkets. So isn't a real health tool. More a gimmick.

A proper, independent app would allow addition of food from other sources.

So Tracker's results will be almost meaningless unless all spending on food is through Woolworths!
    Don't think that's healthy😜

Previously downloaded the Tracker, but found of little benefit for me.

Better to shop where the best price / pts offer is. Not what will produce the best results in Tracker!
While being aware of the health benefits of our purchasing decisions.

An app which persuades you not to choose better offers elsewhere seems the antithesis of Ozbargain!
